I found myself smiling the whole time you were running it. That counter steering is a little counterintuitive, but super cool. On a full scale motorcycle, just pressing the grip on the side you want to turn to get the lean started was something to get used to for sure

Glad you liked it man! 😊 Pushing on the grip is basically what this does just with a servo either pushing OR pulling on the right side depending on the direction you’re turning. It’s very minor movements, I just kinda over exaggerated the movements so you could tell what was talking about 😃. What I tried to explain in a very roundabout way was that it’s somewhat realistic and neat how they made it work lol

oh man, that thing is like the old school evil knievel ripcord motorcycles. the rear wheel was the heavy gyro that made it stay balanced. aaand i'm off to go buy one.

Haha, nice! Ya this one has the gyro inside the wheel. Winds up with the wheel but spins separately and continues running for a while even after the wheel stops. 🤜💥🤛

My dad had an rc bike from probably the 80s. Never saw him use it. It was about a foot long and the rider was a mechanical skeleton with a cloth jumpsuit thing over him. That looked like a lot of fun.

The Promoto steers the same but I dont know if the wheel turns after it leans I guess thats why the servo save is weak on it to allow that to happen. The promoto has wheelie mode!! I dont know you do like to break stuff lol it is a fun rc. I love people say it turns like a real motorcycle I have NEVER turned left to go right same on a bicycle you do not turn like that lol

Maybe thats the point of the weak servo saver, yup! Ya the losi would be so sick for sure. It’s just a quick blip of the steering on the opposite way to lean the bike. Seems like it’s pretty common. A bicycle is light enough you just lean it yourself 😀

They all turn like that. That is how you turn a real bike. If you think that thing is fun you need to get the Promoto MX. It is insanely entertaining. I loved mine so much I bought 3 of them. The number of upgrades they offer is insane. My Modified one is doing 60 mph with super motor tires and a 3s lipo. You can jump them just like a 1/8 scale truggy or buggy. I take mine to the skate park and launch it. You need one.

I saw a motorcycle accident video once. A biker was going too fast into a blind turn and there was a car coming. The bikers reaction was to turn away from the car wich caused the bike to righten itself up wich then caused the biker to crash into the car. If he would have counter steered who would have made it.

Whenever you see a video of a motorcyclist seemingly deciding to just ride straight off the road instead of going around a slight curve, it's probably because they don't understand the theory of countersteering a bike & are only relying on using their weight to lean the bike over.! They don't really teach about it unless you take an advanced riding course here in the UK, which just baffles me.!! (unless it's recently changed, I hope it has).!
