In this video, we fabricate a new rear bumper! This guy is easy on the eyes and budget while also being highly functional (only around $145 and lost around 40 pounds while adding more recovery points.) The departure angle highly increased and most importantly, we got rid of the chrome! It was a slightly more advanced project, but with some time I am sure anyone could make a similar bumper. We are open to all feedback, positive and negative to make our videos better, let me know if any questions or feedback arises. Thank you very much for watching and supporting! We'll see you in the next one.

Really good concept dude! Retaining the factory corner pieces may not be the strongest solution, but I think it looks like best!

Thanks! I never want to put myself in the situation where rocks are slamming it, but it could always happen and yeah this bumper wouldn't do the best for protection. Nice name btw!

Bumper came out great. When I first started my rear I was incorporating the factory side pieces as they look amazing and fit really well. I ended up ditching the idea as the 4x4 tube section I used just wasn't going to flow into them right.

Yeah, I like the look of yours. One day I'll make one like yours and I wouldn't be able to continue the side pieces! Thanks for watching!

Great results, only downside is the tire relocation issue. I have thought about not carrying a spare and investing in a nice tire repair kit.
@mattuccibuilt3970
@mattuccibuilt3970 Жыл бұрын
Yeah now the tire is the low hanging fruit, for me only a tire repair kit is scary, but my current spare is undersized so I would probably not use it anyway. Maybe a spare tire swing out 🤔
@Kyle-ev4fk
@Kyle-ev4fk Жыл бұрын
@@mattuccibuilt3970 just put the spare on the front where the mismatched size doesn't matter in 2wd. also a normal hole in the tread is a easy 5 min fix and side wall patches can get you go to a tire shop. tons of offroad only folks run sidewall patches for years.

@@Kyle-ev4fk Yes, if a rear blows I would take a front off and replace it, then the spare on front. Ive used a few plugs now and they're great! Sidewall patches still scare me though, lol, not sure if I could completely rely on one

Hey do you remember what your measurements were? I love how it turned out and I want to try doing something similar
@mattuccibuilt3970
@mattuccibuilt3970 10 ай бұрын
These are pretty rough measurments - 4" tall, 56" Wide, 20" Deep. The frame rails are about 37" from inner to inner (horizontal), and the outsides are about 41.5". I still think they can be used to mock something up! Just make sure to measure actual values before cutting and welding!

This is still my daily, I want another car, but I'm doing whatever is most fuel efficient at this point. I have considered grinding it down and doing a swing out, but right now I might make up a hitch mounted swing out.
