NEW Rear Diffuser Install On My STI!

I just bought the same diffuser for my car and was hoping to find an install video of some sort. Thanks for showing what to expect. I'm getting mine color matched so hopefully it'll look nice on mine :)

After watching your video, I decided to get one too for my 2017 WRX but I went with the OLM matching paint. Looks like the OLM has a different hardware for the trunk. I didn’t have to drill like what you did bc the holes on the hardware was already drilled in the middle. Also, I didn’t trust the self tapping screws that came with it and used 3 bolt screws instead and drilled 2 more holes on both sides of the diffuser.

Looks good wish there was a way to delete the original fins so you would only see fins on the aftermarket diffuser

good vid and tx. If you would have put the bolts in the trunk reversed(the bolt in trunk as opposed to underneath the car) then you wouldn't see them as the tops were black. Just a thought and less chance to get rusted nut on bolt.

Second question…lol thinking about this mod as well. Is it a pain in the arse to clean in between the diffuser and…diffuser? Seems like you would need to have something to slide in between

Pressure washing cleans it out easily during my washes.

Looks great! I was looking at this diffuser too but ultimately went with the GCS STI diffuser from subispeed, it looks great too and was crazy easy to install!

Man, I just found your channel and hoo boy, your mods are so clean and simple, I now just started to order more stuff for my wrx. I was wondering, after installing the diffuser, when you wash your car, do you find that water gets stuck inside the crevices or is the diffuser angled enough that water falls out during a wash?

It’ll stay on there but come right out when you drive. I use a blower to dry the car anyway and blow it out.

They are an OEM Subaru part. The usdm spats.

I am not a fan of weighted knobs. I’ve tried a bunch and it numbs the feeling down and makes the transmission feel fake. The accessport is completely out of the way. Doesn’t even come close to my hand.
