Here’s a tip that wasn’t mentioned, as far as berries, blueberries, strawberries, black berries, grapes, If your not going to eat them within 2 days of bringing them home rinse them in a water/ white vinegar 3 to 1 mixture then dry completely. What it does is kill the bacteria and mold spores which will make your fruit last not go bad. But, don’t worry it doesn’t affect the taste at all. I didn’t learn about this until I was 50. You will love buying fruit knowing it will last.

i do this but i also noticed if you just dont wash them and put them in the fridge until you plan to use them, they last quite awhile as well

@@harleighstringer , not here, I have a good fridge and it helps the life, but if it has one small spot on the fruit it spreads so fast. What could have lasted 3 weeks is down to less than one or one week.

@@harleighstringer Food scientists have said that you don't want to wash fruits and vegetables off before storing them in the fridge. They last longer if you only wash them when you're about to eat them. A vinegar rinse is great once you're ready to eat them. Apparently washing them removes protective coatings on the produce that would otherwise allow it to last longer. It's why supermarkets don't wash the produce.
