I was cringing as well, BIG time! Packaging on high end stuff should probably be cared for as well as the cards, and ship it all to the buyer. Not on the mass printed stuff. Jabs opens thousands of packs a week though, probably was just in rip mode. lol

I was thinking this too. Neither card seems to have a chance at grading a 10. Maybe not even above an 8, depending on the graders mood that day.

I normally don't say how people should spend their own money, but I just can't understand why people are dropping so much money on these high priced garbage drops. $1200 for this? For 2 cards? And one of them isn't even "correct". If you have $1200 to burn then good for you, but I can think of so many better things I could do with that money than drop it on 2 cards which also have quality control issues.

Yeah I just don’t understand those cards are worth like $300 at best. You could have bought like 6+ cards for the price of that box. QC is trash print lines, finger prints, scratches, wrong player, all for $1200… yikes 😳

​@@markthompson7503that's insane. I'll stick to the more affordable side of the hobby. Personally I'd rather rip a case of low end trying to get low numbered cards and other hits. To me that's where the most excitement and enjoyment come from.

Should get in touch with Topps about that. That's a product issue. Someone's expecting a 500 HR club player, bc the box entails it. But they get someone else.

He coined it 'Bidenomics', if you recall, though he has lessened his use of the term lately (lol). So yeah our President thinks he himself has alot to do with it, so in fact he does.

I would be calling Topps ASAP and telling them about this BS. How did they advertise a box saying 500 homer club and put a card with a guy that didn't even reach 320. I guess topps has a bunch of 12 year olds placing their cards in these boxes.. embarrassing

If Topps wants to make luxury products they need luxury level quality control. The top parts on the face of those cards looked rough. Heck, maybe even throw in fancier packaging.

I would get ahold of Topps, Brett didn’t have 500 home runs, and on the back of his card says sterling seasons. For that much money I wouldn’t accept an error like that

Ouch, my math doesn’t add up to anywhere near $1200 in value, seems to be a common theme with modern day Topps. They could’ve at least made more of an effort on the George Brett card and not just used 2 white swatches for the relic.

I love watching these videos, and at the beginning of every one I think to myself, "Man, I gotta buy into one of these breaks!" But by the end I'm thinking, "No way will I ever gamble away my money on such a low-odds bet." Hmmm they clearly messed up the packaging lol. I ripped a box of this last night, pulled the same brett "sterling seasons" card but the box that held it had said "1980's all stars". Other card was a steve carlton /10 triple relic auto. Definitely a bit disappointing, I love this product but wish it was nearer 800. Would love to rip a case!

Not making your money back is practically a given at this point, but if I pay $1200 for a product, the people selling it to me at least need to be able to double check the stats before telling me George Brett is in the 500 home run club. Fanatics is really making their mark on the industry.

If he wasn't called out for using excessive Pine Tar, Brett might have had a shot at 500 HRs. That was brutal. A $1000 net loss by my estimation and a severe quality control error to add insult to injury.

Is it me, or was Topps Sterling better the first few years it was out? Still love the product, but miss how it used to be, to me was visually better. But this product... not gonna lie, is cool but the price? Kinda hurts, but hey, it is a high end lotto ticket. Sometimes ya hit big
