It appears to be a fantastic scale plane in every way. FMS planes can be a bit low on power but are usually powerful enough to be scale. My FMS Pitts V2 has just enough power to feel scale (I'd like a bit more though). the FMS Corsair 1400mm I had did not feel powerful enough but, thanks to a mishap, its electronics live on in a VQ J3 Cub where they provide perfect power!

Pretty well sums up how I feel too.

Almost all high wing planes require at least 10 to 12 percent down elevator to flaps in a half flap configuration and 20 to 22 percent down elevator for full flaps. i learned this from Ryan Ramsey years ago

Nice general aviation plane. Looks great. Thank you for going through the Reflex gyro setup with ELRS. So If I understand well, there is no side effect to have ELRS Arm channel set to -100% ? ( as long as you don’t have dynamic power maybe ?)

@@RCVideoReviews I missed this one. It’s a great video. Everything is explained indeed. Chan5 is less hassle than I thought after viewing this video.

This is a good trainer airplane ,It's a good beginners airplane, It's a good sport plane and it's a beautiful scale plane . very Predictable and easy to fly. 👍

Choose between FMS ranger 1.8 and this for a trainer? They both look great and fly really well.
@davidpaker6268 ай бұрын
Hello, that could be a very long answer. We'll try to keep it as short as possible. This is my opinion based on my experience, both airplanes fly great, They are both well Manard, Relaxing to fly with no Surprises, with no bad tendencies at all in the air, Both have great ground handling. the 182 Takes the edge on scale, looks, disassemblability for transportation and storage. The ranger Is a considerably bigger airplane, has a Little bit of an edge on the flight Characteristics, especially landing. Both airplanes are sweethearts, Easy to fly, easy to land. can't go wrong with neither one, and like I said, this is just my opinion. I hope this helps.
@stewm400driver8 ай бұрын
@@davidpaker626 they both look lovely and as you say, the scale looks give the 182 edge.

Is the cockpit windshield optical plastic for Fpv or some warpy plastic? Thanks

It looked ok to the naked eye, but you'd probably want to try a camera to do a proper assessment.

CH5 should stay always at +100 while flying.... to make sure the elrs receiver is working properly. with Reflex v2 or V3, they require the CH5 for the modes, so is better not to use subs with it (with elrs)

@@RCVideoReviews that’s a good news indeed… I’ve always heard that was a requirement. Fantastic.

Arming doesn't actually change anything on the Rx. It only changes behaviors discussed in that video on the Tx.

better on 6s?
@RCVideoReviews8 ай бұрын
Possibly: If the esc can take it, if you prop down, if you can get it to balance, and if the current draw isn't more than the motor can handle--maybe.
@43rocket8 ай бұрын
@@RCVideoReviews maybe they should have kv up the motor, make this plane run more scale like real cessna?
@RCVideoReviews8 ай бұрын
I don't know of any way to improve it's 'scale' power. Feels on the mark to me. I personally prefer higher power:weight ratios, but that doesn't mean this plane doesn't do well for what it is. If this were one of my regular flyers, I'd leave it alone and enjoy it as-is.

@@RCVideoReviews the plane just looks slow like lazy day flier when I saw your vid??
