Yea I agree. Why not just buy actual packs from those years. Repack most cards that aren’t worth anything. You mike a few decent cards. Not worth it to me if someone is placing the cards in there. They could choose to stiff you

The 1975 Hank Aaron card has sold raw for less than $30 and the 1978 Jack Morris for far less. Not a single box came close to the cost. As usual Erik your knowledge and delivery made this a very interesting video.

6:28 You blow right past a 1971 Chuck Tanner high number SP card. In that shape that card runs at least $5 which is considerably more than a raw Jack Morris rookie. You need to remember, before 1974 the series of the card can be more important than if the card is a rookie.

You forgot to mention the Eddie Murray 1978 Topps Rookie Card as a good Iconic card from the 1970's era. I used to have that 1972 Billy Martin card where he was flipping the bird off his bat. 16:05 Gets all excited about a 73 Pete Rose (not HOF) Previous pack - completely misses 70 Jim Kaat at 15:48. I got the 1975 Aaron in the very first pack I opened in 1975... pretty notable since (1) I lived in Atlanta and (2) the previous year, 1974, I spotted him in a rack pack at my local grocery store, hid it at the back of a display, and saved my 25-cent allowance for three weeks until I could pay for the pack and the sales tax. That might sound ridiculous, but packs were 15 cents then and my dad was trying to start his own company. Money was TIGHT. I had to work for that card. Wish I'd just kept it in the rack pack. :)

Lots of nice high numbers from 1970-73, but apparently the person opening these does not understand that. Some of those 1971 SP commons sell for several dollars. The 1970 Jim Kaat (a HOF player) and High Number 1970 Mickey Lolich sell for more than some of the other cards he sleeved.

Very cool and fun to watch! One note: the video narrator states Ray Fosse's career was ended when he was blown up by Pete Rose in the 1970 all-star game. Fosse was never the same after that, but he played another 7 seasons (695 games). There's a lot of baseball history misinformation bandied about by well-intentioned folks.
