I don't think the bracelet has been upgraded, the orginal was much better in feel and finishing. The adjustable clasp is the upgrade. However, I didn't like the orginal because the black dial was more of the gross vintage washed out grey/black dial. The enamel dial is needed. I have the other one and the pt5000 movement busted on me, now the watch is unuseable. So I got this because it had the "reliable" nh35, I'm not going to complain about nh35, they don't break. In regards to Swapping out the movement, it could be a number of reasons, the dail feet wouldn't be on the ends of the dial, but in the middle. The spacing/holder is for an nh35, meaning any thinner movements would be floppy around or you wouldn't be able to reuse the holders of the crown. As the nh35 stem is stuck on the crown, and putting a pt5000/sw200 stem could compromise the integrity of the water resistance and all the other stuff. You could mod it to you liking, it would just void and warranty. Also to know this case is much different than the orginal too, it's way thicker. The orginal was more slim, because it had the thinner movement. The pt5000 and Sw200 are the same ETA clone movements so those would be interchangeable, not the nh35, which is bigger and thicker (this case is thicker because of it, they use genuine nh35 movements)

That's very well informed and I appreciate you taking the time to give such detailed and awesome insight. That's good stuff and was very interesting to read and hear. I initially wanted the original version but waited too late then it sold out and I had been searching for the original for at least the last full year. I like this one but I have not seen the original nor handled it in person. I too this past year had a three day old PT5000 totally brick on me. In fact I recently sent the piece off to a watchmaker and he is either going to possibly repair it if that is possible or I may go ahead and have him drop a SW200 in it. I like the diver. It's the Proxima 300m but the only reason I decided to get it repaired which Proxima was/is terrible because I had it for a total of 4 days and the movement quit and they were awful like most of those companies are. Proxima didn't replace it and tried to keep my money until I wrote a email to them attorney style or I should say that just conveyed or read as if they, this guy could be an attorney lol. It did change their behavior and I received a refund. I just like the blue color dial that is in the Proxima 300m and I know I would wear it due to exactly that. The blue color looks really good. Hey thank you for commenting the great information that I will save in my memory files or brain because that was some well expressed knowledge! Keep in touch man and have a great Thanksgiving! Will pin your comment because it has a lot of knowledge to offer!

Thank you for the channel and review of the San Martin watch at hand. I am a San Martin watch collector and of the brands as well. The San Martin watch is nice but one exception I do avoid at least when considering purchasing new San Martin watches or other of the 3 to 4 brands, 95 percent I personally avoid the polished case sides as these case polished sides even with proper care and without abuse to the watch and I certainly do not subject any watch to any abuse is to mainly get a watch with brushed case sides as these brushed case sides will not become likely what I call a ‘ scratch magnet ‘ … Thank you for your channel and review. Much more success to you in all that you do … Rick in Florida

I totally agree with you regarding NH35. I like the smoother sweep and thinner profile of a high beat movement. Nice looking watch with solid build quality

Hey brother! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that feels the NH35 to have ran it's course and to see it average at best when especially paired with a watch that has the exceptional fit and finish that San Martin offers with their watches. In my opinion it leaves their watches with a ton more that they should and would be that the NH35 negates and doesn't match up to the exceptional quality of fit and finish they have.

Thanks for the unbox, intro.. Is it possible they misunderstood the question re movement...as in 'available to buy' vs 'feasibility to retrofit' with an sw200 or even pt5000? On the fence about reordering this...but i probably will.

It was very odd to me because we spoke in great detail about it as to say I drilled him asking why only the NH35 and he said that this time around the inner casing was specifically made to the dimensions of only the NH35. I find that to be incredibly odd and it just does not make sense to me. Which then without saying to question .... Well then I wonder if there is truly an NH35 inside. I'm sure it is but I still wonder to be honest. It is a really good looking diver and the case size and lug width are nicely proportioned. I can say with certajnty that you'll love it! The bracelet is awesome!!!

Where do these guys come from? ? ?

Aren't all watches made for one movement? Selita and PT5000 are pretty much clones of the same movement, dimensions etc. so in some cases they can be interchangeable in these Chinese designs.
@KashdonJR4 күн бұрын
@@Black_Cat_997 you could be right as there isn't any other movement that is essentially a clone of the NH35 like there ETA, SW200, and PT5000 that are all the same I presume in size dimensions. I had not ever researched the topic or more the fact that watch case inner dimensions are all based on the exact movement to the extent of being limited to just one movement alone which in this case I would have liked to had the option to have the watchmaker replace it with the SW200. I hope there is a widespread move or push for and towards the Miyota 9015 overall.

Price?
@TheDiveWatcher19 күн бұрын
You should be able to get it for roughly $235. That was the best discounted sales price I was able to get the total price down to. Ive seen it from $300 to $268 before coupons and or a sales price. Hope that helps. I would recommend getting it from watchdives.com because you will have it in hand in about 3 days. I'm not a fan of buying from Aexpress. I didn't think I was going to receive mine and then the manner in which when mine became lost in transit forced me to write a message that explicitly explained international trade laws and the risk of what happened to Temu to only then they agree to send me out another piece of immediately refund me. I should never have had to go to that extent when they seriously tried to turn it around upon me. It's why I at the end I recommended ordering it from watchdives.com. Far more safe and far less time in the system to be lost or stolen.
