Great Video Guys...Of all brushes I have I really like Yaqi I'm very impressed and perfomace compare to rest of high end brushes I got...great selection of handles and knots can't really go wrong with it... I ordered West Coast badger Brush red and white with Coin at the bottom, I really like that one and great design..Wish if you guys would make more brushes with Coin at the bottom but different designs etc.. I can give great Ideas and design to West Coast Shaving.. Alan H

I have the Yaqi Mysterious Space Color Tuxedo Knot synthetic brush (fan shape) , but I find it has a bit too much backbone and it's a bit too springy. I'm wondering if this is a characteristic of their Tuxedo Knot. Do their natural-colored synthetic brushes have less backbone and are they less springy?

Most of their brushes have the same springiness, the only thing that can alter that is how much of a glue bump is in it.

@@WestCoastShavingChinoHills sorry, should have specified, the Yaqi brand in particular. What sets them apart from say the 10dollar synthetic brush from Sally's beauty supply, or the plastic handled Gillette synthetic?

@@woohog1 Great question. A few things actually. They are a great value for the different designs they offer. They offer different style synthetics that are plush and feel luxurious. It's a great beginner brush but it's also a great brush all around. While these brush go around $12-$22 for a synthetic, they are a huge step up compared to a $10 synthetic. You should pick one and see for your self. We recommend the Black knot ones. You can find for about $11. And it's free shipping atm.

Yaqi are great brushes (I have 4 of them ) but I see that lately they keep rising their prices and that makes them automatically to be compared with names like Apshave , Muhle etc etc and that makes things difficult for them IMHO
