When you said do they make the ballista the best range weapon in the game i realized how cool it would be if they have a relic where slow weapons hit harder like the mechanic on TD's would be a cool hybrid relic.

Let say Ruinious Powers / prayers have been updated. One of the prayers is to curse target with elemental weakness increasing its damage taken by x% (30/50/100%) My money would been on that.

I have a strong suspicion that there are echo drops yet to be revealed still. Maybe wishful thinking but I believe that thermy/hunllef will have something else droppable that will throw a wrench in everyone's plans and they might be saving it until a late reveal. We're missing some cool echo mage wep and maybe an interesting boot slot, maybe something slayer related similar to black mask but on a different equipment slot, lots of possibilities. Calling it now.

This also makes Zeah pretty trash in general unless DWH/Elder end up being necessary for bossing. The region offers the worst raids rewards, quite literally the worst armor upgrades for any style (until you get to raids for mage), terrible early/mid upgrades for every style, horrible pointless grinds like Hydra/Sarachnis/Aerial, and only solves very easily solvable skills (FM, Farming, WC, Theiving).

I'm going mage, kandarin for that echo fremmy for the necklace and ring then also morytania for full ahrims with the gloves. The ahrims has % damage on the armor when you get gloves it is 50% to do 60% damage. Then the % bonuses from ring and necklace plus the elemental weakness. I think it will be so much fun. Plus I'm just bad at the game and know I can't take on those bosses and actually get an echo weapon haha and I'm trying to have fun not sweat and go too meta

Need to wait for relics. For all we know we can wield two 2H or shoot javelins out of the blowpipe. Also its so weird they chose an elemental offhand weapon when tomes exist. Elemental spells are balanced around those

Be hilarious if they did all this then those who take kandarin with a relic unlock raids 4. No idea of bosses,mechanics ,loot nothing and just be the testers. After leagues they can spend months rebalancing it, changing it ect before its full release if passes poll in mid or late 2025 to the game. It would really make players want to give up one of their regions for kandarin just for the unknown. The hype would be insane throughout the gaming world a completly unexpected monster update. Streamers woukd stay full the game would bring in tons of subs and everyone woukd have a blast. Dunno if they would ever attempt something like this but wow a surprise like this would be epic.

Ima be real, thermys echo wep bonus could be “instantly 1 shot a monster with elemental weakness” and it’s still the worst echo reward. The problem is there is not a lot of relevant monsters in the game in general, but also you only get to choose 3 regions on top of that so you’re guranteed to simply not have access to a lot. Unless there is a combat mastery or relic or w/e to give every monster a weakness, picking Kandarin is a fools errand.

I like how even in a turbo power creep mode they still only went with 6% mage dmg on the echo offhand. Mage offhands dmg% should've been doubled in project rebalance to bridge the gap with shadow and this echo item should've had 15%. It still would be bad though.

I think its odd that the Devil's Element gives infinite elemental runes. That just seems terrible since elemental runes are never going to be your limiting factor here. Especially since historically we get something that makes your runes have like a 90% chance to not be spent. It makes me wonder if we won't see some combat mastery that says something to the effect of "attacks use 100 times the elemental runes, but cast twice". If that were combined with some mastery that further exploited weaknesses, maybe that would be enough to make the region good.

I do think its just a small addition where its meant to save inventory space / rune pouch space. Especially with the grimoire relic, people will have a TON of runes in their inventory

I just haven't done Raids / endgame PVM ever and don't really want to learn to "solo" in leagues so I'm honestly focused on a skilling / slayer / medium PVM setup and I think Kandarin is extremely viable for that...am I crazy?

Not at all. I think a lot of casual players will struggle hard to kill the master tier DKs even with league buffs until very late game

Kandarin definitely isn't totally useless just yet, smoke staff + devils element is going to compete with shadow on anything weak to fire. Situational I know but hey it's something and wildy easier to get than a shadow. I could see someone going K if they just want a really chill magic experience that is still good.

I definitely think theres going to be some way to apply elemental weakness. I find it a bit too far-fetched to think that kand's one unique item is so niche. Most enemies with a weakness are already pretty easy.

Gonna be so hard to pick regions this time around. I have taken kandarin and asgarnia in every league so far. Kandarin and asgarnia are just essential nostalgia zones for me. Took fremmy last league and it was a blast. Basically the core old school zones IMO. I guess I could take morytania but I will literally never do TOB.

I fully agree. Trailblazer 1 I took asgarnia, mory, kandarin. Reloaded I took Desert, Kourend, Asgarnia. Now… i’m not sure. I might be looking at Mory, Wildy, Varlamore? I have no clue man. But I’m definitely going to miss the nostalgia

Between the Grimoire and the Echo item currently being the least useful, its looking like a weak area. It could all change in 12 hours when they release the next teaser though!

Theory: the competing relic will be: Region Fusion: -Kourand and Varlamore are considered a single region -Tyranwnn and Karanrin are considered a single region -Desert and Asgarnia are considered a single region -Frenemik and wilderness are considered a single region. -League points are halved Pick 3, have fun :D

I dont see how kandarin anything. Could top shadow,virtus , frem ammy ring combined with augury. That alone is going to hit high 80s if not low 90s often. I dont see a way kandarin could even compete . Who really wants to do ba , castle wars, monkey agility laps. For a trident. Best thing they could do is offer a relic choice to unlock a 4th region. Kandarin- Prif and something else though no other regions are nearly as bad. They need to despritly add real game content like a new raid into kandarin or prif so they can be picked in future leagues. Be a cool twist if they had raids 4 done without telling anyone and was like you can choose it as a relic. Before it releases in 2025 doubt they would do this but it would really make the community excited and could flip everyones league plans.

another over looked problem with kandarin: say you do want to do an elemental build. you need wraith runes.... and what's needed for wraith runes? frem and kandarin. you're double dipping on the amulet meaning the other drop from thermy is fucking useless. i think they are waiting to reveal something to help mage. either a mage echo weapon, a way to get runes, better spell damage relic. who knows. if not, this leagues is going to be 5/5 melee+ range builds with Tirannwn and frem being best in slot. fucking boring if you ask me.
