Very well thought out, Luke! Your tutorials on this are very well done and clear. Bravo! I was able to put it all together today with your well thought out profile configurations and it is a great companion to my panel and other Stream Decks. Scott

Nice. Can you check if you can adjust DCTL slider with those knobs. I know it is possible with the Mini Panel, but not the Micro Panel. Wondering if it is possible with the Stream Deck Plus device.

Hey Allen - if actions can be turned into shortcut keys, they can be mapped to a Stream Deck 😊 If they can’t be controlled by shortcuts, there are ways but they get complicated quickly!

Good job, Luke. At first your icons looked less colourful and attractive than those from sideshowfx, but then I saw a lot of common sense built into visual representation of actions and they started to look much better :-). From your experience, which stream deck (XL or Plus) is more comfortable and FAST to work with in Resolve or Final Cut Pro? I'm attracted to Plus, but not having a real working experience with either XL or Plus, I'm afraid I'd spent more time with Plus having to navigate through its pages than with XL what in fact defeats my goal to work faster. Thank you.

Hey Andrey! I think in the ideal world, you'd have both the XL and the Plus to really take advantage of the 32 keys (XL) and the dials (Plus). I'm going to make a video shortly about conforming sequences in Resolve using the Stream Deck Plus, as it's so fast I don't know how I conformed without it. I think the Plus would win just on that front to be honest!

I have Stream Deck XL and use Bifocus companion is it possible to use your Davinci Resolve 18 studio software is there any trial version to test with my Stream Deck and Davinci Resolve? Thanks
@lukerosspost Жыл бұрын
Hey Pedro - unfortunately there is no trial period, if you're keen to give the pack a go you'll have to purchase! If you have the Stream Deck XL and want to use it within Resolve, I have a pack for that which you can find here: www.lukerosspost.com/product-page/resolve-colourist-icon-pack-xl-for-elgato-stream-deck-xl

Do Backup All so that when you restore you can find it. Export has a different extension than the backup file. (Stream Deck - 03-09-2023 - 19-25.streamDeckProfilesBackup) (Volume Controller (Auto).streamDeckProfile) The Programmers tonally jacked it up. If you look in the same window where you Export there, where it looks like a scroll down button for the window. There is a down arrow that is where you will find the Import option.

Thanks for providing this extra information David! My full set up guide video shows the full installation process, I’d definitely recommend starting there 🎉

Bought it and it has no control over the gain, offset, etc… wheels …. Useless for color grading and disappointed.

Hey Joaquin, thanks for the comment and I’m sorry to hear that you’re disappointed. I definitely view this pack as a supplement to a standard grading panel, not a replacement for it. For example, I use this pack for conforming, which is lightning fast. This pack doesn’t control lift, gamma or gain, but it does control printer lights and an array of other grading shortcuts. There is a full PDF preview of all icons and shortcuts for this pack listed on my website that I would recommend any buyer to check out before purchasing. I hope you continue exploring the pack and get some value from it! Cheers 😊

@@lukerosspostis there any way to map the lift gamma gain to be controlled by the dials? I dont need to control the colour just the exposure part.
@lukerosspost Жыл бұрын
Hey! There is no way to natively map the lift, gamma and gain controls in Resolve to a keyboard shortcut at this stage. I believe the team at SideshowFX have done some custom coding to allow this to happen, but if I'm being honest, the Stream Deck Plus dials aren't well suited for full grading operations. It's a small device and quite unergonomic in comparison to a grading panel - I always say to people that this device should supplement a grading panel, not replace it 🙂 @@Jayd_O

@@lukerosspost I beg to disagree. The Streamdeck plus is more than capable to be a stand alone Grading panel minus the hefty price of the Dedicated panels made by BM and Tangent.

@@arnelbarbarona9844 Hey, cheers for the comment! Everyone will definitely have their own opinion on this, but for me the colour dials from a Tangent or BM panel are essential. The three way corrector is a foundational tool and I need an ergonomic hardware solution for them. For me, the Stream Deck Plus isn't the right tool for the job 👍🏼
