Thanks, good video. Especially looking forward to how you deal with the floor, as I have an old beetle needing the floor stripped back and painted/weather proofed.

Looking forward to this. I kind of take MGB for granted but the GT is a good looking car.

I never had an MG. But I have the chance to win a GT in a charity lottery in Germany. She’s yellow! Fingers crossed! 😀

Such a shame about these vehicles. The design and basic engineering was exactly right. Just that BL weren't too fussy on quality control and like most other manufacturers at the time hadn't figured out rust prevention. Thankfully aftermarket support is generally very good these days. That B series engine is of course what makes the car ~ you just sit behind it and let it pull you forward at it's own pace.

There is never a thing called a cheap car, it's cheap for a reason and looking at that underneath you've got the question answered. I'm sure you'll turn it around and have it looking like a very nice car again.

I would love to see you put a more modern engine in it make it more interesting and not just another restored MGB no matter what good luck and have fun
@CambrianClassicsLtdАй бұрын
@@christopherhann6725 well this one will be different than any other MGB. I can guarantee that! But with the original engine....

I've always wanted a MGB but not having a garage I didn't want it to end up like the one in the video.

If it helps I've done a lot of research about daily driving a B and consensus seems to be that it's ok but just avoid the winter days where the roads have been gritted and are also wet... Along with making sure the car is protected ie underseal, arch liners, cavity injection. Then find a solid, well used one and not a show queen. That's my plan because modern stuff makes me sad 😂
