New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian said her government has a "no regrets policy" as new restrictions were announced for Sydney today, including changes to rules for critical retail businesses and a pause on all construction. From midnight tonight, residents of the Fairfield, Liverpool and Canterbury-Bankstown council areas will not be allowed to leave their LGA except for health and emergency work. NSW recorded 111 new local cases of COVID-19, 29 of those were active in the community for their entire infectious period and more than 82,000 tests were conducted.
