Sure beats sitting around a dingy laundromat. Have something to eat, sit comfortably, and bring a laptop and get some work done while you wait on the laundry.

Keep doing these types of videos documenting unique business concepts while you are travelling outside the USA. It really shows the stark difference between what is currently possible in major cities of other countries versus what is currently not financially possible back here in the USA's major cities due to current rent prices for commercial property.

Once the rents drop for retail space in New York City and elsewhere we will see different types of businesses occupy the ground floor. More offices, niche service businesses and fulfillment centers will start to occupy these spaces. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!

I don't know if this is a new concept. We had one of those when I lived in Upstate NY. Ended up being my favorite hangout spot actually, you were only supposed to loiter in there if you were doing laundry but I was friends with the attendant there and also would help random customers use the machines if he was busy.

In Germany we have cafés that sell delicious vegan cake and wonderful vegetarian ice cream. (Try cucumber wasabi- no joke! It's the best!). The café has board games and books, sitting spaces for community meetings etc. Profit all year round.

Long ago, and far away, I ran across an eating establishment that catered to the table boarder trade, with a coin laundromat next to it. Part of the deal for table boarders was 50% off on the laundry, and complementary tea whilst using the laundromat. Both establishments were very highly rated by non-table boarders.

The concept of mixed use facilities has been employed in the US for years. Most frequently found in college towns, thet are also found in more eclectic cities like New Orleans. 1. That's not a new concept at all. I've even seen those in the States. 2. What the hell are you doing traveling during a pandemic? How did you even get into the Europe?
@MetroManhattanOfficeSpace4 жыл бұрын
1. This concept apparently exist outside of New York, but I have not seen it. The implementation of this of this establishment was nicely done. 2. I am visiting family. I have dual EU/US citizenship and as a result and am able to travel internationally.
@TheMongooseOfDoom4 жыл бұрын
@@MetroManhattanOfficeSpace Just to get this straight: Was there a very important family-related reason for you to come to Paris? (I am not asking for details) Did you quarantine for 14 days after arriving? If your answer to one of those questions is no, then you are part of the problem. We have had to give up a lot of civil liberties to get the epidemic under control. The situation in NYC right now is worse by an order of magnitude than in Europe.
