This was so useful thank youuuu xx, last year mocks I got D,B and C based on reading the information and persuading myself that I was revising - when really I wasn't. But after watching this video, I used your technique and put in the time and effort and found out recently that I got A*, A and B in my mocks this time round!!! This method is so handy and has turned my grades round unimaginably, so thank you for taking the time to share your revision method :)

This is such a great revision technique. I was just making prompt notes or trigger words for biology and I was thinking 'great, but how do I use it?' I'm so glad that you shared this technique with us and I get you, sometimes I refrain from testing myself because I'm scared I don't know enough. Have been using this technique for English Lit A level ever since I saw you do it briefly in one of your vlogs! Looove! I think it's really helpful to get things down on paper and out of your head so you can analyse what you actually do remember, rather than what you THINK you remember. It's also good because I think it helps you ascertain what you can perhaps put on the backburner because you already get it, and what you need to focus on because you forgot it - helps lessen the revision workload SO MUCH. And what could be better than that, haha. The way I adapt this method for English is to use themes of a poem or text as your prompts/headers, then lists ways it is presented (with literary devices etc.), in what ways its explored, what the underlying message/moral may be etc. Especially since a lot of us English students work best by just writing I think, this technique is so great to just get the ball rolling for revision. I'm gonna try it with my Sociology and Ancient History too. Thanks so much Jade for this and all the inspiring videos you make. :)

Redo all the homework because the reason why teachers assign homework is because the topics are probably similar on the exam. If you have any exams/tests/quizzes redo those. At the end, review everything you got wrong and do 5-10 problems of each type of the problem you got wrong. This is super important- you gotta master what you're getting wrong. Make a formula flashcard if you need to review formulas! Also invest in a prep book because they really break down concepts you may be confused with and also have tons of practice probs. Hope that helped! In the US we have AP exams, and using this I got 5's (out of 5) on my AP Calc AB exam using these tips!
@imaginarylarry76837 жыл бұрын
I do this all the time but I never knew this method actually existed! For history I take an empty time line and then I fill in all the events with everything that I can remember from that event bulletpointed underneath it. For biology I used this method when I had a test on all the cel organelles. I printed out a picture of a human and a plant cel. Then I pointed out where all the organelles where and again wrote as much information about each organelle underneath it as I could remember. After I’d take a red pen and add forgotten info or correct them. Works wonders for me I would recommend this in a heartbeat!

Omg yessss a video !!! ❤️ I discovered your channel like a couple of days ago, and I love it! You are so positive and you give so much inspiration, positive vibes and motivation ! I live in France and I am on my last year on my high school, and in June I have A Levels, and I am nervous because I am on a Scientific class, but my first marks are not good at all, and I am so scared to fail because I want to be a vet and people around tell me to maybe change my dream job but I can't! To become a vet is my biggest dream and I want to succeed and have good marks but I don't know, every day I say " ok it's holidays so today you work so when you get back to class, you will be stronger than ever!" but it's like i am lying to myself because i don't work and i stay in my bed all day watching study videos ... I want to succeed but i don't find the motivation to actually study, like biology maths or physics: my major classes... Also, the thing is I want to be a positive person, because all my life I was a negative person, I don't have confidence at all, I wanna change but this is so hard, it is been weeks since I work on that but nothing change ... Sorry for my bad english, I am French 😘

Oooh I used to do that during high school! I did this to memorize maps, and I agree, it's time-consuming (and frustrating when you realize that you know nothing!) but I got full marks thanks to this method. You just reminded me of that, I should definitely reimplement it in my studies !

Try reading from the textbook directly, then do the blurting. When you're done fix all your errors with a different coloured pen. Then use that same sheet of paper you did ur blurting on, as your notes/summary, and in the future, revise from that. This saves time because you wouldn't need to write any notes/or summary prior to blurting. I've been doing this for studying for my a levels. I hope this helps!
