@@tasiashiraori This Rimuru comes from a timeline where he lost the fight against Hinata and was left unconscious for months, meaning he wasn't able to make it back to Tempest before the Falmuth army invaded (like he did in the og story). When he finally woke up and rushed to Tempest he saw the entire country was in ruins. More then 90% of the people were slaughtered (including all of the main cast that were in Tempest when it was sealed) and the remaining few were turned into slaves for the Falmuth kingdom. The only ones from the main cast to survive the carnage were Souei and his group, Gabiru and his group and Ranga (since all of them were outside of Tempest when it was sealed). Rimuru met up with the survivors and they decided to seek refuge at the Lizardman village since they had nowhere else to go. As you can imagine, Rimuru was extremely upset and angry and he obviously blamed himself for what happened since he wasn't strong enough to beat Hinata and he wasn't there when his close friends and people needed him. While everyone was talking, Treyni arrived and offered to help Rimuru in any way she could. Rimuru then named her and she became his subordinate. Rimuru was still not happy and went off on his own for a while to think about things. While on his own he eventually decided to summon a demon to try and get help that way. The demon he ended up summoning was Noir (or Diablo). After a while of talking, Noir convinced Rimuru to go and slaughter all the humans and become a demon lord by collecting their souls. Rimuru decided to do it and he also decided to make this demon his subordinate, so he named him Diablo. When Rimuru named him his entire personality and appearance began to change. He became dark, evil, cold and ruthless, and his appearance became what you see in this video. This change also happened to everyone that was connected to Rimuru, meaning all his subordinates also became more cruel and evil, and also took on a darker appearance. Rimuru and his remaining subordinates then proceeded to mercilessly slaughter the entire kingdom of Falmuth and those souls were used to evolve Rimuru into a true demon lord. Eventually Veldora was freed (but if I remember correctly, Rimuru even killed him to gain more power) and long story short, Rimuru became the most powerful being in the world. He became known as the cruelest demon lord of all and he successfully managed to take over the entire world. He now rules over it with an iron fist and he has a deep hatred for humans. That's the end of his story. I know this is a long comment but I tried to cover everything as best as I could.

My god, you can hear the pain in his voice at the end of his secret skill. “Everyone…” This Rimuru has become like a cold-hearted villain, his appearance and demeanor befitting that of a malevolent Demon Lord. Hell, the introduction sequence reminds me of how Thanos emerges from a portal created by the Space Stone in”Avengers Infinity War”. Even if you didn’t know the story behind this timeline, seeing how different Rimuru is in this timeline compared to the Rimuru that we all know and love is heartbreaking. We’ve seen Rimuru canonically dip into this kind of character before: when he passed judgment to Falmuth’s military by casting Megiddo. It’s rather fitting, with this in mind, that the alternate Rimuru’s secret skill is also Megiddo, enhanced and modified since he’s awakened at this point in time.

Would be cool to have an animated spin off that presents this alternative timeline. Rimuru going berserk and expanding his country aggresively, waging wars with other nations and demon lords. I'm sure it would be a banger. Alternative timelines are not alien to the series as people thar have read the LNs know, regarding chloe, the hero and all that stuff so it wouldn't break the story and could be presented as just another future.

I think the shadow spikes and the light that shines from the spikes is megiddo infernus

As far as I understand, the spikes restrict the enemy's movement, and attack with the element of darkness. The light does not come from the spikes, it is an improved version of the Megiddo, where much more energy is collected in the beam, and all the beams attack only one target. The "Antipode effect" is also possible, ie. in the place of collision of opposite elements, the element of chaos is born, and also causes damage.
