Thank you for this video, i bought mine back in 05' and only wore them to specific events and specific occasions over the years. I did damage one of the metal plates in the front of one of my reactor boots a few years back, and just recently when i pulled these boots out for a vnv show, i was embarrassed that the plate is still broken. To my surprise (incase anyone needs to hear this) New Rock sells replacement parts for their boots on their site under the Accessories tab. Needless to say im excited to be replacing the part once it comes in and ill be going through a thorough cleaning and polishing process to bring them back to their former glory :)

Plastic Reusable Boots Tall Support Boot Shapers .. from amazon work well for keeping the shape. Don't use water proofing cream i did and my boots went lighter to a black/grey colour only use the boot black cream polish. Also Dr martins sells longer laces that work well as some new rock boots the laces are so short i find. Great tips thank you. Also breaking them in can be a pain and a blister squash the heel's and wear them indoors as much as you can with padded socks and applying the boot cream polish then sitting with them on helps break them in i find.

Hello! I have a pair of New Rock Reactor boots knee high M 272-S1 for almost a year! I love them so much! I have seen other KZbinrs explaining a method that can help make your boots more comfortable to walk around. Its called the wet foot method. Basically, you wet both your feet and boots with water. Then wear them for a while and finally dry them so that the molding of the inside of the boot lines up with your foot. Have you tried this trick before? I personally have not tried this trick before because I’m new to how to take care of these boots. When I first got these, I did get some bad blisters. But I was just wondering! Please let me know and I like your video!!!

Hey,I have a pair of those but the front metal pieces(the decorations) keep falling off . Anyone has tips for that? Or knows what glue I can use to attach the metal decorations to the shoes so that I don’t have to keep buying them?

I have new rock Mary jane shoes that have exactly the same soles as your boots, and the soles are completely falling apart even tho they were not very used :(( I saw I can buy replacement soles in their website but I am not sure of how I can avoid having the same problem again, do you guys know?

So what should I do if I have the cleaning kit from the New Rock? I just bought my second pair of boots, but I want to clean my first pair I bought almost (december-janguary) a year ago. First pair I have is the suede boots. I have used this whole time a suede brush, other type of plastic brush for suede, and rubber for deeper cleaning. I have used various cleaners as well, and water repellents. Now I have this cleaning kit that I ordered with my second pair of regular leather boots from New Rock. New Rock cleaning instructions are a bit confusing in a sense that they do not finish it, they have shown and written that you foam the liquid with the water and apply with the brush on the boots (universal cleaner), but they haven't written on what should I do afterwards, do I have to wait? If so, for how long? Do I wash them off somehow? If so, how? What should I do after I passed over with my foaming brush? I have used some other manufacturer's cleaner for suede/nubuck, and I suppose the principal is the same, except the sponge is on the bottle top, so you have to press and rub it as it foams up, and it just vanishes usually, never really had to wash them, as the instructions said to wait afterwards for ~15 min. So I guess the same principal applies here as well with New Rock method? They simply have skipped the ending part about waiting, and for how long.

I usually rub in dubbing wax into creases to keep the leather supple and the leather won't dry and crack. I also use a a leather wax spray then rub off with a rag. Do exactly the same for doc martens.

Have you ever had the New Rock badge come off your boots? I bought a pair and the badge came off on the first night of wearing them. I have the badge and am considering using some leather glue? What would you do or have you done in the past if this has happened to you before?

I found a pair of New Rock boots in a small shop and they seem to be stored there for years, for the box was covered with dust and one of the boots zippers was damaged. But they were quite cheat. What gets me thinking is the obvious long time storage without any maintenance and if the plastic sole or the leather could be dryed out so that the boots will start to „crumble“ very quickly. Should I take the „old“ boots or rather go after a pair of guaranteed new ones from the manufacturers website?
@clockwork1662 жыл бұрын
PLEASE!!! buy new ones. I’ve got the same pair that’s in the video from a secondhand seller and I just tried them on and the soles CRUMBLED a sec later!!!! Don’t waste money like me. I don’t know how to get new soles cuz they are so difficult to find

Plastic?? R u sure? Their soles are generally natural rubber; hence why they're so heavy. Might have been an exception for your style but I doubt it. I wash my new rock soles with water also
