Yup, remember when all rogues where crying about the bad bad nerfs? Apparently its a huge buff instead. Now all other melee builds are even less viable than before. Maybe we should start crying as much as rogues...

If it was in adom or mdom, then yeah that trial is a feast for whisper knifes. I've been messing with mine and the aoe dmg is insane but you're trading good aoe dmg for a pretty big loss in st dmg. I play pretty much every class at an end game level and it always feels better when I focus on st dmg in there instead of aoe. The faster you kill lieutenants, the less adds spawn and the faster you get the chests at the end. I had the same experience on my whisper knife though. In most of my adom runs with random groups, I did more dmg than 2nd and 3rd combined but on my wizard I get the same results. Can't always chalk it up to something being broken when you're not comparing players of similar skill levels.

Hi Aragon, ive ran assassin for yrs, but recently made a build for wk which is proving successful, not 100 percent on my feats tho, cud u tell me which feats ur using, dont need names just top or bottom from left to right so i can compare, cheers.

lol, I just made a MDM run with a non optimized build as WK and finish 1st DPS with 50M (more dmg than the 2nd & 3rd dps (CW and rogue) - this is amazing, totally overpowered and I don't even have Vecna... This will be a big mess with 6 WK in each run like it used to be with rogues and VOS. Once again people will leave a little bit more... sad

Rogues cant get it right do they? Once nerf gets announced everyone cries until the nerf instead doesnt nerf the class but makes it easier to keep the damage up Now its still stronger than other melee dps classes and people are scared of a nerf. HUH

With every class change there is always going to be one that’s I overpowered, CW have had they’re time, now it’s TR, in a few month it will be GF or Barb. It is what it is, if it makes the trial going easier I’m all for it 👍👍

So I am actually happy that you are taking some time and acknowledging WK. My only problem is that too many times what Aragon says always goes and nothing else matters. Once again you are using WK in an AoE build (which I do not disagree that it is a great aoe class for those that wish to play AoE). I only watch part of your video but I recall you saying you are not using SoD and I should hope SO. SoD is for ST (old hack aside hoping thats fixed). I do acknowledge you mentioning in your video that WK has a whole wide way of playing it so OK ty for that. I however would rather just not play the game at all if it means spamming PoB, SmkB and other lazy dps skills. Aoe is not my thing and never will be. I dont care about paingiver charts at the end of a dungeon because its mostly just a pissing contest of Aoe mob kills. I wont even make an aoe build to swap in/out of. i am and will always be a pure ST WK. Now I know that this won't impress you much but my latest/greatest SoD on a lieutenant in mdom output >15million damage. Not too shabby i would say even for the standards of the great endgamers.

If you are referring to the tier list video... if would reread the conversation, people were saying rogue as a whole wasn't ranged xD Assassin was the primary and consistently well performing dps at the time for moondancer (which the video was targeted at), and it was melee (altho you did argue that cause specific powers had a range to them, that made it not melee heh). And even for wk, the main playstyle is to try to stay melee while having to option to move away, like ranger. But it was in regards to moondancer specifically, which is melee since it requires being in the middle of backs to do 360 aoe attacks, besides blitz. Definitely more ranged that assassin though, which is great now that it is much more consistently viable.

None of this matters when wizards wreck everything with zero risk. I am doing fine w my rogue from 2016 as wk and well before any of this brouhaha noise. Never used the dmg cloud, so no loss felt here. Seems I'm finally seeing results from my investment in a personally created build. Having an assassin build for single targets works. Really though games should have stable builds instructed in game that take skill to play for results, not mysterious clout chasing glitch abuse. All high dmg classes should face legit aggro issues. I seem to be pulling everything while wizards sleepwalk aoe. Idc end of the day. I play three classes and tweak when it makes sense. Leaderbaords are not always telling the full story. Be nice to test things in end game but im not going the p2w route. adq is boring though and the only challenge is from the bad/undergeared randoms.

Why are you using a hybrid skill just for AoE? Or rather why is everyone treating WK as ST skills aren't exist? Also why ppl play ranged characters as melee? I'm kind of sad about that. =( *Edit for spelling

Whisperknife has just about ALWAYS been a top tier choice, particularly in aoe... welcome to the party 😅😅. As always though, it comes down to knowing YOUR toon, most cookie cutter players...well, nevermind.

But those of us in the know, we know how dope that class has always been... particularly at AOE, we lose top spots using encounters to help the group if we choose to use em.

Nicely done! Bowman still op it seems. The whole i only accept CW is getting worse and worse though for this trial, even though there dmg is bad, daily wrong time, arti wrong time, they will still get inv over you and they wonder why runs fail. Most dps are forced to change there main to CW just to get inv these days for anything new.
