TL;DR: Artikauk good You should play as an Artikauk (The new Christmas Puffin-Terror Bird). Its stats aren't the best, but all its mechanics make it one of the best creatures (at least of its size) for grinding. It's all terrain for one, has a dive ability that lasts 18 seconds, and is a photo-carnivore. This means that you can either spend your whole life without ever touching water, or spend your whole life without touching land, which is pretty cool. The dive ability also allows it to be able to easily escape any other creature from above land as it gets that head start. Also, due to its burrowing ability, you are able to easily escape everything above your weight class that can fly. And it comes with the added bonus of being Frosty, which buffs you in the winter and makes you immune to blizzards and frostbite. Also, to the rando reading this, it's also currently the best creature for grinding every artifact at once, because it's a flier, which enables it to be able to get storm and air artifacts, it's a photo-carnivore, which allows it to be able to get earth and plant artifacts, it's semi aquatic, allowing it to be able to get water artifacts, as well as ocean artifacts upon reaching age 100, and lastly, it has the burrowing ability, which means that it can easily deliver food to warden shrines without needing to travel. The added bonus of frosty means that it can do it non-stop.
