I don't know if Bill ever did think they were, but i can tell you that even folks in the cities don't think farmers are stupid at all. We understand the many hats that they have to wear in order to provide the rest of us with food to eat. What we do have a problem is, is with the mega corporation farms drowning out the once family farm and making it impossible for them to earn a living, therefor we pay tax dollars to subsidize them back into existence and subsidize the mega corporate farms as well... like wtf are we doing anymore?

Who called US veterans of WWII suckers and losers? The year that KKK endorsed don took power JD Vance called Trump "cultural heroin" and "America's Hitler" but clearly meant that as a compliment as VP elect Vance trips with the toxic cartel pushing catatonic idiocracy and revamped versions of The Fugitive Slave Act and whether they like it or not, no one in his party is asking, How could Germans support a known felon, rapist, racist, fascist sociopath? After a vicious crime boss ordered the abduction of refugee children and launched a months long coup attempt that involved threatening election workers, calls to execute Pence and attacks on the Capitol police, a Republican controlled Supreme Court ruled despots or dictators called presidents cannot be prosecuted for crimes called official acts, echoing Chief Justice Taney's opinion Americans had no rights that rulers were bound to respect. After the DHS reported the gravest terror threat to the US is white supremacists, a CBS Murdoch Musk S&M promoted terrorist leader threatened to use the US military against "enemies within" and the owners of the LA Times and Washington Post declined to endorse a presidential ticket evoking lyrics of The Sound of Silence and the words of a too big to jail tv mob boss, When you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab em by the .. And the people bowed and prayed to the neon god they made; after all its attacks on facts, healthcare, education, Social Security or human rights called unsustainable entitlements, the majority of voters who identify as white chose to support that bowel movement of billionaires oligarchs and grifters invested in assault weapons and private prisons who prefer not to pay taxes, overtime or a livable wage and celebrate mass firings of underlings who organize for better working conditions. Who said torture works and there will be much more of it under his administration? So what's the real deal with JD Vance; is he a sincere nazi convert on drugs or simply trying to protect himself from that regime? So what if JD Vance, Lindsey Graham, Tucker Carlson, Ingraham Gutfeld or Goebbels despised the boss as long as they ultimately said and did what they were told? As there is no MRI that detects tortured souls all that can really be known is history and what nazi wants to look at that? kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2GufYWnir2MhKM

We may live in a state where our presidential vote usually doesn’t count, but we live in a country where it should still matter! Yes, my life and how I conduct my social conversation has changed in the last ten years because of the toxic political environment, but it just makes me want to have more compassion and mercy on those who believe differently all while fighting in any way I can to preserve our basic freedoms. Do not lump all country singers of old into one category. Johnny Cash, who became famous in the late 50s. was a progressive Democrat & used his stardom to shine a light on the plight of Native Americans. In 1964, he released the album “Bitter Tears: Ballads of the American Indian”...the single was “The Ballad of Ira Hayes,” the Native American who helped raise the flag at Iwo Jima. Columbia Records opposed & refused to promote it. The CMA asked him to leave their ranks. So he posted a letter on a billboard calling them “cowards,” then kept up the pressure until the song reached #3 on the country billboard charts. In 1966, the Seneca tribe made him a member. He never stopped his activism for them. In the 1980s, he formed a band with 3 other progressive Democrats: Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson called “The Highwaymen.” Marty Stuart, who started out as a member of Cash’s band, said Cash influenced him & he took up the Native American plight, released his own album called, “Badlands: Ballads of the Lakota.” Willie is very active…he helped found Farm Aid, one thing.

They buried black convict labor in mass graves, which just this decade they uncovered when they were building new schools. Sugar Land is a nice city and a lovely community with a very ugly past. I don't know how to grow food, but if I really need to, I'll watch a KZbin video. That's how I fix most things around the house - by watching a KZbin video.
@mezenman4 ай бұрын
lol, KZbin is a great tool. But it’s a little more complicated then I’ll watch a video. I can watch a fella in Florida grow an orange. Doesn’t mean I can grow that orange in Wisconsin. In the past 4 years I have grown potatoes 4 different ways. I have also grown 8 different varieties. I’m searching for the right combination for my soil and climate. I know exactly what works for me on my land. Not only that I know when to water and how much to water. Once grown you have to know when to harvest and how to store them. And this is one crop. I grow about 40 different types of peppers. Everyone is a little different. Just look at your spices. How many different plants would you have to grow to replace your seasonings? Might need more than one KZbin video.
@exiledfrommyself4 ай бұрын
@@mezenman It's not about watching someone grow an orange; it's about them explaining how to grow one. Knowing how many plants I need to grow to replace my seasonings isn't important to me-I can buy seasonings from the store. If I ever found myself in a position where I needed to learn that, I would just watch KZbin videos.

So true! farming is intense, raising food is year round awareness and planning, knowledge of weather patterns, guess about how likely drought is that year, choosing annual crops accordingly, and maintaining fruit trees is year round work--pruning properly, etc. Some years disease and insects and weather events can wipe out a huge portion of what we grow, so we add variety, try to only grow what work best for us--meanwhile just down the hill the conditions can be different and they plant differently... Harvesting, processing, storing food from a small farm is quite challenging--we do it all ourselves...farming is very hard work, requires patience and a large body of diverse knowledge and creativity mixed with high stakes gambling. I wager very few people today have a clue.

I'm of the same generation of Nikki Haley and Kamala Harris and lived first hand the transformation of Houston into one of the most diverse cities in US. I live in Minnesota now and the same has happened here with Minneapolis St Paul. I absolutely agree the Red and Blue parts of the country are much more similar than they are different. Even curry has gotten more popular. What I see though among many my generation and older in rural and Red State areas though is a fear this change and many feel that they are losing out on their culture and they are being supplanted by immigrants. The Great White Replacement theory. They also fear that their children are being led astray by the changing culture and in Country music there has been a backlash towards musicians like Lil Nas X and Beyonce. Even Willie Nelson got criticized for his embrace of Obama and other Democrats. This is why politically states like Texas, Wisconsin, NC and others have used gerrymandering and other tools to maintain Republican majorities in their legislatures even as much of their state votes democratic. It is the fear that Republicans have that they are losing the cultural and demographic battle.
