IDK if you do requests but maybe some day you should get into old 240,120,110,24,12, and 6 volt AC fire alarm systems like the old Autocall, pull rods, antique horns and bells, coded pull stations, and break glass stations from the 30s,40s,50s,60s and 70s.The views will just sky rocket. Just have ear protection on the ready, your ears will thank you.

Nice work! Probably the most well done enthusiast system on KZbin so far. Why’d you opt to install square boxes and use trim rings on the AVs instead of just using single gangs? And as a note, that unfinished attic space probably puts that smoke out of its 32F-100F UL operating temperature, so if you’re not planning on finishing the attic I think a mechanical heat detector might be better suited.

Thanks for the compliment on the system! The alarms will often be changed in the future as more videos of this system will be created. I used the square backboxes because it allows me to use a wider selection of alarms in the future. As for the attic, I do agree with you. That’s why I currently have a dual heat and smoke detector installed (as mentioned and seen in the video). That way the attic is heat sensitive but if a smoke condition ever existed putting the system into alarm would be possible.
