NEW S-Works Tarmac SL8 - SRAM RED AXS First Ride!

This is the best colour for the SL8 by far, absolutely stunning in real life. I have to say though, as Ultegra or DA Di2 are just sooooo good, I can’t imagine ever wanting or choosing SRAM.

I don't know, it seems alright. At least there are options for people. I already have DA Di2 11 speed and no complaints. When it comes time to replace stuff on that bike I'll probably just stay with what I'm used to.

The official colour from Specialized is....... Gloss Solidity/Red To Black Pearl/Metallic White Silver Just rolls off the tongue 🤣 In the real world its a deep metallic burgundy, with a bronzey colour flip in different lights.... It looks incredible in the sun 😎 Thanks for watching 👍

I'm buying the new Red shifters to retrofit to my AXS equipped gravel race bike. Passing and turning on gravel during a race is risky AF and I spend 90% of my time on the hoods.

80cm inseam, height 178. I could probably ride 54 or 56, but prefer the 56 personally. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍

i dont get why not even the non sponsored people tell the truth. why are you all shilling for this group? i was fortunate enough to ride it myself (as a dura ace user) and i have to say it is still inferior in many ways. the shifts are still slower and a bit more clunky (especially front). the button on the hoods are inferior as well because i cannot use them when im in aerohoods position (no so for shimano, i can always use them with my thumbs). and the breaks (even though they got improved a lot) are still not as good as shimano. all those factors add up and if you consider the current price difference here in europe (sram 4300€ no powermeter vs. shimano dura ace di2 2850€) there is not even a question. for me this red is an epic fail as a new release. it should have been like this years ago to even compare it to shimano. but 2024 is roughly 4-5years to late for this.

Hey thanks for the message... Firstly there's zero "shilling" going on here... This is my genuine feedback. It is waaay better than the previous generation ( fact ) and I didn't say it was better than DA... I don't really use the extra buttons on the hoods so didn't mention that. I also noted the price discrepancy between DA and the new Red AXS ( which will come down in time to DA levels... ) Over the next few weeks / months, I'm going to ride DA and Red back to back.... I'll report back with a more long term review. Thanks for watching 😊
