New School and New Bike

OMGosh!!!! I watch your vlog with my 5 year-old grandson, who is on the spectrum & non-verbal. (Well, I watch, & he comes to check out & peek at what I am watching once in awhile!) Well, just now, he did that very thing, he peeked at my phone to see what I was watching, but instead of just peeking, he actually stayed & watched for a couple minutes. Then, completely out of the blue, when Abbie appeared on the screen, he looked back at me & as clear as a bell, said "Abbie"😱, then he repeated himself & said it again & again!! His father (my son) & I looked at each other in absolute amazement! "Abbie" is the very word he has ever spoken! We are sitting here dumbfounded. This child has been non-verbal for 5 years, to hear him say "Abbie", just absolutely blew our minds!

This is absolutely true! When I did I’m home healthcare I was a companion for an older gentleman that has his own sign language. It was very few words but they were completely different than “traditional” ASL that is taught and my neighbor has their own “spin” on their sign language too!

So excited that Priscilla is trying spin...it is life changing. I totally get what she is saying about the seat! Something I do in classes that helps is I bring a bike cushion. I have one that is meant for an outdoor bike and it adds support and comfort! Makes a world of difference.

For the bike get padded cycling shorts, it will help a ton! Also clip in pedals get easier with time and when 3 people aren’t giving you directions 😂.

As a peloton owner, it's way easier to clip your feet in once your sitting on the bike! And very important that clips on the shoes are TIGHT- you dont want it to move at all or you'll feel it moving with every petal! And yes it's hard to lock in the 1st few times! And use the brake!

My sister's menu use to be French Toast Sticks with Cinnamon Sugar on them. Lunch today is Chili with shredded cheese. Dinners use to be chicken nuggets/shrimp poppers and french fries. Now it's popcorn for dessert every night at 7

When going up steps with a heavy item, always put the heavy end first, because the person lower down will naturally carry a larger percentage of the weight, so putting the weight directly over the higher person will help even the ration out.

i used to work at a cycle studio, and the hardest thing to get people to do was clip in and out of the bikes. we always had to help for the first few visits haha. also saddle soreness is something that goes away after you get more used to riding frequently!

We just leave our peloton shoes clipped into the pedals...and then loosen the strap and pull feet out. Much easier than having to take the shoe and and out the whole time! Enjoy.

I will ask the question once again. I work in retail. If a caregiver is in a store and or public area with a child/teenager that is having a meltdown. A meltdown (aggressive) in which the caregiver is struggling. What is the proper thing to do. Do you walk by the struggling caregiver or should you stop and offer assistance.

Okaaayy, they are totally water loving dogs...but Miss Sandy has taken it to a whole 'nother level! She has eclipsed by far, any dog I've ever seen w/ her "water time" Also the girl is in the pool most of the time by herself! Usually water dogs enjoy company w/ their owners...jumpin in, jumpin out.
