New Season Vogue Sewing Patterns - August 2021

This week I'm sharing the latest Vogue sewing patterns and the dressmaking fabrics you could use to sew them up in. I think the first 3 Vogue dresses were divine….the fabric choices you made were crazy cute too. The fabric I really think is exceptional is the one you are wearing!! It would be perfect for the upcoming spring season here in Australia.

😍 Vogue 1781 (the 70's style) would look amazing in a Shweshwe fabric. I just need South Africa to get off the red list so my mom can bring me a few metres of fabric.

Really enjoy your videos Lucy with all your lovely and varied makes. For the Q&A, do you pre-wash the fabrics before making up? I’ve seen this suggested by other sewers but never bothered & seem to have got away with it but what do you recommend. Many thanks, Sue Dones

1780 -- is that for knit or woven? Love these dress patterns. Really like the couture details esp on the 1780. Lovely fabric choices too! TFS

The recommended fabrics are as follows: Nylon Fusible Knit. Crepe, Silk Twill, Poplin, Light Weight Linen so I would say woven and I chose a woven fabric for it, I'm not sure why they've listed nylon fusible knit as well as all the woven fabrics?!
