I don't understand why repair party can't restore turrets/modules but CV planes can "heal" mid flight.

What’s that Comparison? You heal HP for the Planes, not replenish a Squadron mid-air. It‘s literally like the Heal for Ships… But I would like to be able to heal AA or Secondaries.

@@Mr-Hakim i think hes more arguing the logic behind it than the mechanic... how's it more logical the pilot repairs his plane than a crew repairing the turrets? though even for mechanics, itd still make sense to be able to repair turrets when you can repair planes

Since I unlocked the UU for république back in the day, I’ve exclusively run a secondary build and loved it. I’ve tried other builds now and again, but they’ve never been as fun

@@Trixterion Totally worth it. Stock range is kinda overkill anyway, and you trading it for raw dpm, basically turning republique into supercruizer with battleship damage. Combine it with 10% reload from secondaries, AND 5% per fire, AND some percent per lost hp, and you'll get a ship with highest DPM in the whole game.

I have to say, I love the new mechanics so far. I killed a 3/4 health Fantasque yesterday in Pommern. Surprised her at less than 7km just after killing another ship and so maintained all accuracy. Did about 3k dmg with main batteries, the rest was all secondaries. Still can't decide whether or not to take IFHE.

I take IFHE on all the german BBs with 105 mm guns from t8 and above bc it gives them 32 mm pen, but i dont spec it otherwise.

I remember that the secondary turrets got stuck in their firing position on my Izumo when I was grinding it last update so I do think this is a new feature, now we need a button that can put your main guns into a neutral position

The front secondary of Shiki/Yama is similar, but it seems not the angle, but the firing arc or visual contact or something. But I noticed, that the larger secondaries at the front are different than the side secondaries

Richelieu/JB with Brisk are nuts. You're basically keeping up with DDs in an early flank move. Your opponents are sailing directly into your crossfire.

I doubt the small dispersion nerf will help much when you push closer. At range yes but you aren't the most vulnerable in that position. The main gun buff may be worth it, shame it doesn't buff secondaries. I ran a lighthouse secondary build without FP on my GK for quite some time. It can be very miserable if you get unlucky with mm or focused by our favourite ship class. With a patient play style the extra heal power really helps with survival (and with AR boost).

Depends on how you run your Georgia. The build I run uses fire prevention mainly because I run my Georgia like it's not a battleship. I do a standard secondary build with Capt skills and mods except I use enhanced rudder shift in 4th slot.

Hey PQ love your videos as always! I love brawling so much and the secondaries has improved and are better with the new updates but, its just risky now a days in today's meta to just come close to brawl and u can most of the time can die, so can u show or recommend a build where u can have secondary build with survival build (like a combo) . Because if some of the secondaries are destroyed then all the captain skills and module upgrades specced for them will be wasted . And eventually u are left with main guns where u are depended on for the rest of the game.

So regarding the problems that you highlighted with secondary builds, unfortunately thats just the reality of WoWS. There’s not much you can do to change the lack of survivability. You can take the Slot 1 Module for secondary and AA survival, and maybe instead of taking two 2pt skills, only take one 2pt skill and allocate the rest toward concealment, fire prevention and superintendent - but imo thats all you can really do.

@@poopsie117 I actually took only manual secondary point and rest is survival build and in the equipment section i have taken all secondary mods. The range is 10km only but thats fine for me.

I noticed a similar issue on my GK, prepatch I was able to get in there and brawl to an extent and take a good bit of dmg. Now it seems like my GK is just getting melted, watching other GKs get melted faster than normal as well even sitting at range.

@@stevenhoelker317 GK is just straight up the worst T10 BB in the meta right now. It was my first T10 but man ... its nothing like it used to be. Its basically an HE magnet. And having good armor is irrelevant against fires. And even when you sit nose in and don't use your back guns, the massive GK superstructure eats so many full AP penetrations. So yea I think GK is just too appealing of a target to shoot at.

I kinda wish you could have more than one copy of a ship. Repub has both fun secondaries and awesome reload. Having to demount upgrades to switch between the two is kinda annoying

Doesn't seem that secondaries were doing much. You did a lot of damage with few citadels and the fact that the whole Thunderer allowed you to farm him in a prolonged fight where his heal gave you ton of chip damage.

Completely unnecessary. It would kill your fire chance, and it won't bring the 5 inch guns to the 38mm pen threshold, so there's no point in doing it.

@@TheAlexpurdy14 Even moreso. Since Ohio doesn't get the improved German penetration for HE, her 5 inch guns only pen 21mm of armor. IFHE would only bring you to 25mm, which isn't really useful at tier 10. Of more importance is that Ohio's secondaries have a 10% fire chance. This, combined with her absurd accuracy and ability to still pen superstructures, is what makes them so powerful.

No skill? You're a very big target that gets spotted at 15km or more. It takes a lot of skill to stay alive long enough for them secondaries to be useful. It takes less skill to play a dd than it does a secondary bs.

@@stevenhoelker317 There is no skill. It is an automatic, purely RNG based system and can give a big advantage. You don't aim or consider angling you just have to be there. Just been playing against a Bismark in my Monarch. We got to about 10km. He set me on fire 3 times in 36 hits and did a total of 27k with his secondaries where my secondaries did no damage to him. He used no skill to do that damage and while he was setting me on fire he was also hammering me with AP. as a comparison I managed to set him on fire 3 times using my main guns only firing HE.

Yea Wargaming are trying to hard to force people to pay them. Reduce their prices and give people better options on how to set up there ships and I would actually recommend this game. As it is I to tier 7 in the german battleship and cruiser lines and I won't be playing much. I sure as hell won't be giving them any money. After all everyone tells me that this is a arcade game. If that was the case why would they not let you set up your ship the way you want.
