Spring season, riding season! Little shorts, just for a coffee. Yesterday I had a 300km rideout with my 1958 NSU Supermax in into Nordfriesland, the area around Husum up to the Danish border. Colditz, but a pleasure.

What a great Norton you acquired! Love it’s sound! I grew up with a couple of buddies that had AMF Harley Sportsters. Brings back memories of he 70’s. Nice to see that Yamaha XS650 hard tail. My XS650C still gives me miles of smiles after 46 yrs of riding her. The roads by your area are stunning. In Central Florida where I live I have to head out of the Orlando area and head north to the Ocala area where the roads have allot less traffic and country like. My average ride is about 150 miles and a short ride half that. It’s all good. Thanks for sharing as usual. Your videos inspire me! Cheers!

Great video, Mike, thanks for posting. Love that old Sportster, I have a 71' that looks very similar. Good to see Ronnie again, his Triumph looks really nice. I hope to see it in future videos. And the Vincent..... what can you say, just beautiful. Good luck at the show this week!

Many thanks Jas. it's changed a lot over the years. We have been here since 97 and thought it was a little too quiet! How little we knew how much it would change over the years. It's still nice though and still very easy to get out into the countryside. Best wishes

@@TheMightyGarage How funny I moved there in 97 right across from Zupan’s and a few blocks from Fred Meyer’s don’t remember the name of the street I think it was Laurelwood I would give anything to go back, also lived in Aloha We had a beaver pond right across the street from us and wild blackberries growing in the front yard Hope to get back out there before I die

Like the Sporty , reminds me of when Harley's first became seen in NZ , they were rare and powerful ! also the HRT and your Norton ,,, such a honey , looks a lot like my RE Interceptor from a distance , love them all . Loved the way the Vincent rider used his heel to find neutral at 3:31 ,, a forgotten gem on finding it , I had to do this on my ES2 when the engine was hot ,, ,, Ahhhh the memories and Thank you again .

I really enjoy your rides, you speak of the city and such, but it resembles where I live, largely rural, you have some very nice roads to ride. That is a nice mix of bikes, of course the Vincent always gets attention, nice to see the variety though. The scooters bring back memories of my early childhood, Barcelona and Naples, whole cities overrun with scooters, every age and sex. A truly beautiful line up outside the cafe. There might be an accidental "dislike" all too easy to cross that, sorry! I hope to see the place sometime soon. Always like to see the various bikes. I believe I've seen more Norton's in your videos, than live. Still running that "cheap mirror", seems to be working out well for you. It is so green all around you, I love the forests in the spring. You do very well with the camera, showing off the various bikes riding. I believe the difference in steering is a matter of tighter rake angle on the Norton's, and closer to 30 degrees on the Harley, giving that "great hands off handling", I've got 34 degrees on the frame I built, and it is dead steady on the highway, but doesn't compete when one gets to the twisties. Those are always better on Brit bikes, in my opinion. I've really enjoyed seeing the Norton's come back to life, I always wished the Brits had been able to keep those bikes competing. I'm glad the old ones are still around to enjoy, thanks for the great riding videos as well.

Your Norton’s sounding great Mike. As a matter of interest were Lambrettas popular in the US back in the 60’s? In addition to my Nortons I had a couple of Lambrettas….ok around town except on wet roads!
@mickgerard66962 жыл бұрын
Hi Neil. I have a 1958 Lambretta LD 125 that my Uncle Jack bought new in the Spring of 1959. He purchased it in Madison Wi from a place called Clifford Motors. They were a dealer for Lambretta. Don’t know how many were sold but they were around.

Nah, their not rockers. No studded or badged jackets, no white socks turned over the tops of plain black m/c boots. No clip on's or rear sets . Still great bikes though and the scooters were cool. Nice green cut down with some trick bits on it .

Sort that kickstart lever out Mike, looks like its pivoting too far or is it the fish eye camera effect? Does your black Commando handle differently, or is it not stock, so comparison not fair?
