Looks very nice. Glad to hear that it will be 100% made in Italy. Just bought my sixth San Marco (50% owned by Selle Italia) saddle. My previous one was Made in Italy. This one is Made in Romania (printed in tiny font on the hologram). It just doesn't have the Italian touch.....

I just got a new bike with this sattle love it so far but I was wondering about the two small diagonal slot in the back of the sattle ? First I thought they are for backloaders but I have 4 of them and non is fitting because the closures are to big to go through ..now I’m wondering what else could be the reason?

People keep talking about how "heavy" this saddle is. And of course, if that's what matters to you, fine. But this is their cheapest saddle ($50 USD) and low weight is generally associated with high cost. So for folks with not a lot of money to throw at a saddle, this might be a good option.

Thanks for stating the obvious, buddy. I think most people that commented on the weight were pointing out that the show host claimed that this 300g saddle was light, when viewers who know a thing or two about bike products know that this saddle is actually quite heavy..especially considering its thin profile.

I've just bought one to try. Have a technical question: how do you tilt them to make the most comfortable? I tried first from SRP (saddle refernce point) to the front part horizontal, made 330km but felt a bit sliding down towards the nose, so I put the nose slightly up. Maybe that would work better.

Very nice effort from the maker to increase its product recyclability but the problem is that most garbage collection centers won't recycle such a product. Selle Italia needs to put more effort into making sure the products come back to them and take care of the recycling by themselves!

@itarry4
@itarry4 3 жыл бұрын
Totally depends on the rider and the terrain, type of MtB you're riding. You can do, especially if you really love the saddle you have and find getting a saddle that fits you really hard. It tends to works best for CX MtB though and not so much if you're more Enduro or DH. Your Road saddle can be a good to help with choosing the right saddle for your MtB. The same overall size, width and shape will often feel right but with a bit more padding and support at the back because as said above you usually sit more upright. Obviously the opposite is true if you usually ride MtB and you're finding it hard to find a Road saddle, same size, width and shape but less padding and missing the slight upwards curve, support at the back of the saddle.

Well it's definetly a step in the right direction. And using no Carbon is definetly an environmental benefit, but for me it seems a bit like it's mostly Green Washing. Using no Glue isn't necessarily better then using an environmental friendly Glue. And recyclabe ist far worse then actually made from recycled material.
@itarry4
@itarry4 3 жыл бұрын
It's half hearted definitely. Using recycled materials to make it is far better and the glue thing is total BS as you said. Let's face it something being "recyclable" doesn't mean it will be recycled, most will just chuck it in the bin. It needs to be biodegradable to have any real benefits but then they would have to balance its use life with its actual life.
@fuchsy4498
@fuchsy4498 3 жыл бұрын
@@itarry4 Totally agree with you. The best thing for the environment is using the products as long as possible. A biodegradeble saddle probably is really hard to make. And although a biodegradeble saddle would reduce waste, it's not said that it would have a low carbon footprint. Sadly saving the environment is a very complex topic but luckily it's not about some people doing it the perfect way rather many people should try their best
