I feel it will keep me up to date in my memory keeping better than if I wait for special events to happen. I am not really a "live" lover... I only want to watch you do your thing... I find the host answering questions not only disruptive but annoying and find myself being negative re: comments that appear to be attention seeking... meaning not relevant to the process.

@@darlalove I understand what you are saying... however, there are many other opportunities for "lonely" ppl to engage online. For me this is also my time and I'd like it to be instructional - to learn. If the questions were related to the process, that would lead to a better understanding, that would be one thing, but most often, they are just disruptive comments, distracting the host from the purpose of the video.

P.S. lives are fun for some people, but I find them a little tedious as they seem to turn into a rambling session. Just my opinion. Some crafty lives are better than others. But I will sit through yours anytime, because you are very prepared in your videos. Thanks.

I love this new series! What a great idea!! I was hesitant to start a journal. Not knowing if I wanted to do a weekly or monthly or a journal at all. But with your new series I am so exited to craft along with you on a weekly journal. I really like and prefer this kind of video’s you make. But also doing a live once a month would be awesome. Thanks, Annette. I prefer your tutorial whereby you show us what you've done and how you've done it, like today's Week 1 - easy to follow, and later, we can start/stop to re-watch. I find that videos that include a lot of back-n-forth live chat with asked/answered questions are too long, and I quickly lose interest. Prefer a demo like yours (which are great, by the way) to live chatter.

Thanks Belinda, so very much! I'm happy to hear you find a little help here with me. The layering starts to become second nature after a while. Your eye starts to see what looks better, that's why I always lay things out, walk away, come back, layer it up again, etc. AND I am beyond excited about my first release later this Spring, I can hardly stand it! Hey Annette, I think this is a great idea doing a 'week by week', all in 1, planner. Whether it's lack of patience or lack of time, I seem to have problems with projects that invest more time so I like that idea that you don't have to spend a lot of time on a page, plus the satisfaction of knowing you completed it. Regarding a Live once a month, I like the idea but either way, as long as I get to watch you create, I'm happy. By the way, HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY GIRL...I never, ever would have guessed you're 'Mum's the word' years old! Love your work, thanks for sharing, and until next time...

Like the previous come tor, I’m not a live lover. I find all the chitchat to be annoying especially as the host welcomes everyone and checks we can hear them, and some presenters are not sufficiently prepared and lots of time is wasted - a 20 minute video can take an hour. Apart form that I never get to interact as I’m in Australia so the lives are often on at 3AM my time. I think I’m in the minority though as lives seem to be very popular. By the way I love watching your videos as they are packed with really useful information and things to look at. You are always supremely well prepared. I find that not much happens with us right now either, but it's mostly because we are bound to an elderly dog with lots of needs at the moment. I like either live or playback… I do find with live as I rarely make them cause of work that I can fast forward through chit chat 😊 but when watching live it’s not so bad 😊 for chit chat, acknowledging everyone who comes on can be tedious but I learn so much that I can see passed that 😃

Yeah, I get that Valerie. It's tough because you want to welcome and recognize people "on air" so they feel seen, but on the same hand it can be a bit tedious to listen to. I will do my best to find a nice balance, which will probably be mostly videos like this one and an occasional Live mixed in for Q&A and special topics rather than actually doing a page.

I love your videos! I like seeing comments from others, but I don’t like the distraction of them during the video. Also, some presenters reply as they read the comment but the viewer has no idea which comment it applies to. So my vote would be to not have a live one.

Hi. thanks for being here. Can you be more specific? I'm not sure what you mean by the "sheets where I place the cuttings". Do you mean, what size are my pages? If so, I'm using page dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. They cut the whole page including the 6 holes to fit the planner. If you meant something else, please let me know.

If you're asking about the Hope Chest paper I used for my base pages, I would guess it's about 80 lb weight. And for The Book 5 papers, the thinner of the two choices in that paper pad is 120 gsm which is equivalent to 32 lb weight.

Hi Brenda and thank you! I'm glad to hear you like the weekly series concept. As for the eyelets, then are the small guys: like 1/8" (5 mm size). I set them with my Crop-A-Dile eyelet setter tool.

Using your tutorial, I made the daily Sidekick planner for 2023 (it's soooo cute), but quickly had to "abandon ship" because it was just toooo small to use as a single daily planner. So I shifted gears and went back to the full-size planner. My plan is to keep track of purchases/orders etc in the Sidekick, daily life/appointments in the full-size, and a photo-op/ journal/memento in another full-size weekly planner following your lead. Thank you again for keeping me organized and on-track. :-) You're the BEST!

Well, I prepped pages for each week for last year, but never got around to actually working on filling them, so, if I get a few add-ins ready to just pop in each week, maybe I have a chance to get it done. Think I'll start with cutting a few numbers and tags. Then purpose to check in here each week to stay on task. t-y

I really appreciate that you prepped before with the cutting and especially the inking of the edges. That is often like watching paint dry.I do want to know where you get your envelopes with magnetic inserts for the dies. I am using ones that are discontinued now.

Hi Doris and thank you. I am a big believer in prepping those things that really don't need to be shown in videos. Our time is precious and there's lots of information out there, so editing to keep things short and to the point is always my goal and I'm glad you appreciate that.
