Congratulations on hitting the 3-6 Months Ahead! 🎉🎉🎉 I’m almost at 1/2 way to 6 months. Little by little and I’ll get there. I saved $22 for HH and also picked #3 for the Bonus Round….so, that $10 is added to a sinking fund. My goal for this week is related to last week’s challenge (which spurred the idea). I cooked meals from what I had, but then realized that my husband and I don’t eat the leftovers very often….so my challenge for the rest of the YEAR will be to try to have a plan to make new meals with leftovers when I do my meal plans each week. For example, we made beef kabobs last week and had 4 skewers leftover….so I took the beef cubes and sliced them down. I also sliced up the chunks of peppers and onions. I threw those in a skillet with taco seasoning and we made fajitas…..New meal! I know it’s not a true 💰 goal…..but it will lead to saving more, which can lead to a 💰 goal. Good morning! Great savings! Congratulations on completing your 6 Month Fund! I love that dice tray! It's strange when you hear your name. I haven't met many Libbys. I only go by Elizabeth in very few instances so I hardly respond lol. At first, I was thinking "When did I send that?!" 😂 My PMC is to finish my 2 Months Ahead. I am a little over halfway there. For HH, my total was $40. I'm cutting that in half for $20. I had a suggestion for the Hive who are on biweekly budgets. Sometimes I'll can be able to set aside for HH. But most times, I play both weeks and budget what I owe to pay back. I hope that helps someone.

JEN!!! I am absolutely thrilled that you love the dice tray. Like I said in my message to you, my son plays DnD and swears by his dice trays. When I saw that one with the bee, it was a no brainer who I needed to send that to! 🙂 My goal is to get hubby and I to a month ahead. My personal goal is to start savings challenges for a couple of funds that will be needed but I haven't planned ahead for in the past. Three off the top of my head ... hvac (repairs), garden (seeds, soil, fertilizer, etc) and yard (gas for mowers/equipment, new yard care tools, equipment repairs, etc). I’ve already started my second month ahead expense fund, starting another emergency fund which will give me a $3k for emergencies, and have paid off two of my debts. I’m pretty new to your channel so sorry if I’m asking questions you already addressed, but can you please offer a little more on how you funded the 6 months, was it through challenges or separate from your actual budget? Can you also please talk more about when you are just tracking expenses, such as for household expenses, what are you paying that out of currently, since grocery didn’t have any expenses? I may have missed it but also things that you aren’t actually unstuffing the envelope to pay for but letting the funds roll over, are you just taking that out of the new pay period budget before cash stuffing? Final question, how long do you generally find holidays take for planning? You’re already planning for holidays in high priority but I’m not looking beyond the next month, and want to plan better. Congratulations on getting 3-6 months ahead 🎉🎉🎉 I'm a little worried because I might need to get a surgery, which means I will have to use my emergency fund and empty most of my Sinking funds because my insurance will not cover the full cost of the surgery. I will have to start all over again 😢

This happened to me with quite a chunk of my savings. I had a medical emergency with my youngest daughter that set the clock back for us and then I needed dental implants- so that was another hit during our journey. Don’t let these things upset you. The main focus always has to be your health. I am glad to hear that you have the means to get the surgery that you need. That’s wonderful. I was also very grateful that I was able to help my daughter in her time of need. That’s what is most important.
