I remember these days. I still dont make alot but i never ever want to go back to being behind on bills. Everyone has dark times. For those going thru it, keep going, things will get better. Dont be afraid to ask for help before things get too bad. Its the smart thing to do. I think im obsessed with saving because i am deathly afraid of ever feeling that way again. Sending love and prayers to all thouse going thru tough times financially or otherwise ❤❤

Here’s the trick that I find to work. Instead of putting your cash into a savings account that is easy access to use for bs spending, give cash to your spouse/partner that you KNOW won’t spend the cash. Have them put it in the secret spot. Don’t even ask how much they have saved. I was shocked with the amount we saved.

These people are in survival mode, or darn well need to be. Screw the payday loans. They are unsecured. Try to sell the cars, or trade them in for cheaper payments and cheaper cars. If they give those cars back to the bank they will be sued in court for the balance. Above all they need to get their income up somehow. Change jobs

Train your taste buds to drink home coffee. Majority of the coffees taste the same, it’s the creams that change it up to her liking. Unless she drinks it black. But still she should leave to make coffee at home

If she sells her car, she’ll have enough to pay off pretty much all her debts and still have enough to buy a hooptie car.

Idk I think the advice at 13:40 isn’t very good. You can still learn to budget with a consolidation or a balance transfer. even if she just BTs the capital one cards she could save her monthly minimums for her SFs.

Everything that you said at the beginning of your video had happened to us except for getting a car repossessed. Those were some dark days that’s for sure. We were living paycheck to paycheck, and no savings. Behind on everything, NSF notices from the bank, the phone constantly ringing! It was so bad! It took time but we were finally able to get on our feet. I vowed that we would never be in that position again! The stress was just too overwhelming!

I've seen quite a few people say they have a $1000 emergency fund, I hope they can increase it dramatically because it is not nearly enough. Most emergencies cost a lot more than that, and what if you have more than one back to back! I'm enjoying the channel! Thank you.

Hi Deanna! 💛 Following Dave Ramsey’s plan of the 7 Baby Steps, he explains that the $1k was never meant to be enough. It’s just a “buffer” to not through you completely off the rails when something bad happens. It’s just step 1 before paying off all debt in step 2. Step 3 is what you are looking for - which is saving 3-6 months of your monthly expenses. The idea is once you don’t owe anyone for debt any longer - saving your FULL emergency fund will be fast and will actually be YOUR money. I hope that helps with understanding why you’re seeing everyone start with that $1k. They are just getting started ! 👏🤩💛

You guys can do it!!! If you both work hard you can improve the situation, but those car payments are crazy. I think people need to be more realistic when it comes to cars especially, when your finances are not in order you should definitely buy much less costly cars. Having a considerable savings gives you freedom and a piece of mind that no car ever can!

I like the 20/3/8 rule when buying a car. Cash is first, of course but if that isn’t possible - 20% down, 3 year loan and 8% of your gross income to payment is next best thing.

Yes when I was living in South Dakota, my kids came home from the two kids did from the Bible study and they thought I wasn’t home. I was there all right. The man came and told my car away for I missed one payment and I was waiting for my husband to send the check for my car and for the rent, it was late. They just took it away. They didn’t care if I was late and never got that car back. It was actually kind of embarrassing. My two kids came home and they thought that I wasn’t home and I was there, but the car was gone through that had to take the bus to work, my kids are grown and my husband passed away and I’m living by myself so if I screw it up is my fault love your channel❤
