Thanks for this video! One of my goals in 2022…start learning to make clothes. I don’t enjoy shopping for clothes as nothing fits well. So I am jumping in !!! Yes , it is rewarding and a stress buster . I came to sewing in 2020 because of covid boredom. Nowhere Togo …. And can’t go see family, friends. Who knew that I would enjoy making face masks, pouches for hand sanitizers and face masks , gifts for friends and family for Christmas like kitchen scarfs, hanging towels ….etc. They are one of a kind stuff so many of receivers appreciated it more. I am ready to upgrade my skills now to sewing clothes. As long as you keep making tutorials to go with the patterns , I am IN!! Thanks for the encouragement.

Just made my first Love the 90's dress, and it is so CUTE!! I am so hooked on your videos and Ellie and Mac patterns that I don't use anything else. It's wonderful to have patterns that actually fit. I threw away all my other "name brand" patterns. They need so much adjustment that it's actually painful to use them. I am one of your biggest Ellie and Mac fans!! Please keep those videos coming Diana!

I’ve loved watching and purchasing from Ellie and Mac since diving back into the sewing world. They make everything so easy to understand and that on occasion making a mistake doesn’t mean the end of the world and it happens to everyone because they leave those bits in for us to see, and how they correct it. My daughter is 4 months pregnant and I’m looking at the patterns that could see her through her pregnancy, of which there are many. I’d love to see a few tutorials on adapting any pattern to be pregnancy friendly. Thank you xxx 😘

I love your tutorials. I am such a novice when sewing. I am very confused when trying to use a store bought pattern. I just stick to making easy headbands and using fabric panels for books and wall hanging.

I started sewing when I was around 11ish? My Nana taught me. But I remember my first purchased pattern. The instructions read like Russian military codes. WTF! I'm better now 30 years later, but I still will not buy a butterick pattern. There is just no reason to learn a language that is only used to decifer paper patterns! Lols I prefer common sense sewing, 🤣 yall do a great job! Thanks!

Diana, where did you get the weights from, because I love them, and have looked everywhere for them.

I love your tutorials they really are helpful and make the pattern less intimidating for beginners(like me!) only suggestion I would like to,add would be time stamps it would make it easier to find a certain part of the pattern that you may need help with.

Hi Hazel! You can use a projector to project the pattern lines directly to your cutting mat or you can order the A0 file printed on large-scale paper from a print shop.

I'm never going back to the big 4! Not only because projector sewing is the best, but because I've never had good fit with the big 4, where I generally only need to tweak pdf ones here and there with PDF. Biggest tip for beginners, stay away from the big 4!!
