We spent 10 nights in Japan for $370 with the opening sales but now they're back to regular price. On the way back I ended up booking another flight to Japan for 50k skymiles and just booked a stay at Conrad Tokyo with my corporte discount so exicited to see your review. We are going to Japan for 5days and spending a week in Seoul on the same trip since is cheaper to get to Japan on a non stop flight and take another non stop to Seoul from Japan. Also I would love to visit China this year too!

I sold the SFO Amex lounge their emergency lighting inverter. They couldn't open until they had emergency lighting power in place. The contractor had us rush to build and ship the unit. Funny how KZbin brings me to things from my old job.

Hey seb! I dream of traveling as a life’s hobby one day and on the verge of being financially free. I’ve been wanting to travel to Japan for about five years now and I just started watching credit card videos a few months ago, and been trying to figure out the best ways to use credit cards to go there, and you put out this video! Answered all the questions I had. I honestly have to say I watch I a lot of credit cards vids but you just may be the G.O.A.T. Of credit card content 🙏🏾.

Completely true that hotel status matters in Asia. Even if you don't get a suite, you'll get a stunning view at least. Even if you dont have lounge access or suite upgrades, say Marriott Gold, there is a good chance of being upgraded to a club level room, granting you access. Some hotels in Asia include breakfast (outside of lounge) for club level rooms too. As far and flights into TYO, having been on ANA The Room, the old ANA lie flat pods, and the recliners, and also the old ANA first class and new new Suite, Delta One just doesn't compare. Unless its a super long haul, I'd even choose the ANA recliners over Delta One. The soft product is THAT good. The ANA lounges in Japan are amazing, nothing in the States compares. The food, showers, soft product is just insane. If you fly first on ANA out of HND or NRT, from the moment you walk into the airport its pretty exclusive. Check-in desk has its own room, dedicated security, escort to lounge. Availability, even using ANA's own program has been a bitch though ever since the pandemic.

🐵 great review, I travel there frequently, and appreciated all your ideas and use of cards. I went to the new Centurion @ sfo a few days ago, but it closed early at 5 pm for some repairs to the ventilation, according to the workmen who were entering with tools. I also depended on the trains and subway in Tokyo and even took the local train from Haneda to Narita for a fraction of a taxi…same as you said. Great advice! glad you got your upgrades, and thanks again.

I loved the video. Just a note on the delta sky club; i looked at the terms and conditions and you can enter with an amex plat and basic economy ticket. They do mention that economy tickets cannot enter UNLESS you have the benefit with the amex plat. At the same time, the american express terms and conditions dont mention anything about this, in fact they just refer you back to delta’s terms and conditions. Or maybe im interpreting everything wrong. Anyways great video and now Japan is in my bucket list

The Hyatt Regency was one of my preferred hotels because Tochomae Station (Toei Oedo line) is downstairs and there's a nice 7-11 in between the hotel and the Metro station (at least when I was there last). Also the grocery store that was near the Hilton. I want to return but have to get the GF into the travel game first.
