385 mixed with 390 is perfect. I've named it 387 and it's my PERFECT shade. 385 is too neutral for me and 390 sometimes looks too warm. Hope it works for you.

honestly, I experienced the same thing with shade 390... I feel like 390 has a yellowish tone on me but it, later on, blends well... but during the application, it definitely feels weird.

385 is your color. 390 looks orange on you and I could easily tell where you put the 390. If you want a summer warm glow than 390 but if you want to look natural then 385.

I think 385 is your perfect match but you need to color correct beforehand. Your discoloration is what makes it look gray/ashy.

I know I’m confused too. 385 is my color when first on but after 2 hrs it oxidizes and it turns a tad orange even with a primer. 385 is you!

I agree with at least a 400, both 385/390 look very light on her. The warmer shade looks better especially comparing to her forehead which she did not apply foundation to.

kizzie kente I tried mixing them and it was pretty perfect, because at that point it's customizable. I guess I just didn't wanna have to mix it. But, I got em now 🤷🏽‍♀️🙃 I'd definitely suggest mixing them.

Y’all, we need a shade down in makeup due to oxidation! If it looks a little off when you put it on, let it sit. I promise you, if the undertone is right, it will oxidize to your shade. 385 looks almost perfect on me but it is too neutral . I need a little golden undertone

I'm in the same position. 370 was too light, 380 was HELLA ashy, and I remember 390 ended up looking orange on me while i was out and about one day. :/ You bought up a good point about good working drugstore products so I'm debating if i should even bother with 385. Randumm Yea, I JUST started using Maybelline fit me after I finally found my shade. Can't put it down. It's perfect for everyday if you aren't trying to be super glam. Hey... I am Chestnut in Too Faced but 420 in Fenty. I find that interesting. I had owned spicy brown in Maybelline but believe it was to orange. I am golden undertone with hint of red. I was matched like 4 Fenty shades. 385 or 390 was one but was too yellow on me.

Naw 390 look yellowish. Other one was a bit ashy but did match in the undertone area but I’d go up a shade in the same undertone and see how that looks
