The more sickening thing is when you encounter someone who has been to these events and has like 50 - 70 of them, they’ll only trade one to you if you trade them something ridiculous like a shiny Unown or shiny legendary with a location background. Or you got the really disgusting people that will only trade it to you if you pay them $50.

Is anyone else's GBL like HORRENDOUSLY broken right now? Like pokemon don't even go back into their balls, switches aren't working, charged moves are taking upwards of 4 to 7 times pressed to activate and CMP priority is shot to hell?

I get lag in pvp anytime other player attacks if other player does nothing no lag in pvp i get that a lot now because been joining and leaving at the start.

That's not news. It's been like this for years. They reward the cheaters when they cause the lag as they are never penalized. Haven't been involved in pvp so far this season, confidence in it is at an all time low. Nerfantic love to cause anger and anxiety.

Communicating a long distance trade would work like lucky egg coordination where you just rename your buddy as the time and date you want to trade, then go to the trade center and do the trade there.

I think having a once a season friendship day to advertise Niantic's Campfire app and how you could use that to coordinate and complete one any distance lucky trade would be nice.

To me this is not asking you to travel to those locations from a very far place, if you can it's great but the idea is that if if there's an event close you may want to attend. Japan and the US are very far many and may need visa to enter so it's good to see that these events are expanding to other places

Maybe instead of the lucky friend system you get a lucky token or something that guarantees you get a lucky pokemon on your next trade, or if you've been lucky friends with someone for a while you can remove lucky friend status and get a token of something that way

The answer is obvious. Charge $1.00 per account for the chance to be able to trade with a lucky friend who you most likely never meet. (Make the odds reasonable... say 1 in 10.) Also, don't forget to put a time limit on it so it will vanish after a certain amount of time. (Say 24 hours.)

Its no surprise, look at gmax, lots of people locked out of that, long distance trades would be nice, but unless your in direct contact with that person, how would you work out what to trade, every one wants something specific, they do these events in random places because they are mapping the world we already know this, people who spend thousands to travel around for pogo are usually content creators, pogo is thier livelihood. £20 a month used to be fine for me to play this game and get what i wanted, those days are long gone😂

Gutted about the Mudbray- I was really looking forward to its release 😢 Agree- if they are going to do these sorts of events, at least do a single global one for those of us in far flung places that don't have literally thousands to drop on going to catch a single pokemon that we don't even own after we catch it. The regionals are bad enough, but at least those (all the Oceania ones anyway) get limited releases during events occasionally, so while much harder to get, they are somewhat available on a global scale. The City Safari events are so exclusive that most of us (aka general player base) have about as much of a chance at getting the gogoat dex entry, as a snowball does in hell... Don't even get me started on the likely hood of getting the shiny dex entry. 🙈🙉🙊☠

Honestly feels a bit weird to see americain complaining about the one type of in person event that is not in the US. These safari events feels like they are more for the local communities, of course it s a pain to have shiny exclusif being release there but we all know they ll come globally at some point and I dont mind waiting. I feel that it is a great thing that Niantic is allowing more countries to have in person event, and it s a bit strange to consider these as pricy event when the ticket is around 5-10 dollars and attending these will be cheaper for most people than going to a go Fest/Unova tour.

As someone who EVENTUALLY (See you in 2075 lmao) wants to finish their Pokedex, this is super demotivating. I understand in person events, but why not do a global as well? Would generate them money, and keep people interested in the game. P.S on your point about global trading, that also blows my mind how it hasn't been implemented.. Wonder trade / surprise trades are fun little additions to the main game, and would go a long way in GO. If they wanna buff routes, maybe even add it as an option to after you grab your egg off Mateo, somethinggggg.

Agreed about the Lucky Trades. I'll probably never see you... not that I wouldn't like to meet you... just that who knows if I'll ever get back to Alaska... it would be nice to Lucky Trade with you (and Singapore people) with a special trade... you list 5 things you would want, I list 5 I want... friends from wherever else. If we match (mirror trades), we trade... if not, try again next week or something.

Yeah still wouldn't have me buy a ticket for overseas lol. Everything way over priced right now. I couldn't imagine how expensive it is for a regular person that goes to them from the people who are sponsored by them. I would never spend that much money just to go to a 2 day event and if in travel I'm not worrying about a game I'm going to do other things you know live life explore the oceans the culture and beautiful scenery people spend all that money for what.
