UPDATE August 1st: To get the Shockbyte TC skin, you must rent a server for 1 month. Minimum Prices have increased from $10 to $15 after @Alistair_McF asked Shockbyte to increase minimum hardware specs for a better experience. If you still want the skin, make sure to follow the in-game link. Pic related: i.imgur.com/FQv2Vzu.jpeg ---------- Seems like you need to rent a server from Shockbyte to get the skin, lowest is $10 per month. i.imgur.com/oNa9uFf.png If you search Shockbyte, you will see many people complaining about the quality of their service, not sure if this is worth it. :( EDIT: Had a chance to test their lowest tier server on low pop, it was okay. Flying/horses and I assume other vehicles will be rough because server fps can dip that may effect physics.

Lowest is no longer $10. Wasn't sure if you had updated that anymore. I see $15 on their website. Reddit seems to think that you need to purchase it from within the game and not direct as well. Seems like a lot of caveats .

@@robdroptables Yeah, it's because Alistair asked for server specs to be increased for minimum plan because they were too low. I have updated the pinned post, thanks for the heads up btw.

fyi shockbyte is a horrible host. only buy a plan if you **REALLY** want the skin, horrible company.

How was the experience running a server on shockbyte?

@@Protoxic Had it for one year, it crashed a couple of times and it only got fixed when I contacted them. They ignore your messages unless you pay $3 to get fast-tracked but they fixed it instantly after that. Not ideal but it's cheap.

No plans that I found so far, brutalist was originally supposed to be a hqm skin but they changed it last minute.

It seems either their communication has been unclear or their system is lagging far behind - players on the Shockbyte discord are complaining that they bought a server and never received the claim code 😭

It has 0 utility. At least the Retro TC shows you upkeep, doors, etc. This is basically useless.

@@connorschultz7928 There was no info when I first spotted the skin, but it appears it's not exactly free. You need to rent a server for $10 I assume to get the promo skin. More info will come out in the future.

True to some extent, but there are still many free Twitch drops and game gets updates regularly.

@@Protoxic yea also true but always in the same items. clothes , weapons, rocks.. they havent give free things like skins for the building.. almost 14 for a simple skin for walls building.. that should be free instead... They come hey we got skins for wood, stone and metal... come get them. oh wait all for extra charge and separate.

Looks like you'll need to rent a server lol for $10, not worth it, especially since I hear Shockbyte is terrible for the most part. But if you want the skin, you will have to do it I guess.
