The easiest way to defeat shotgun is aggressive playstyle. You just stay on their neck the whole time and they won't have time to go on prodigy mode, nor charge their ability by throwing punches to nothing.

Uhhh… you know, they can actually activate and hit the skill check while their other hand is doing M1 combo. I tested. So if they get an m1 combo, that’s them having a chance to get prodigy, no passive required.

That is almost correct, but you forgot to mention that his shotgun barrage is almost a counter for agressive styles, and unfortunately, you cannot sidedash it. I think you need to avoid contact when the prodigy mode is active, or they make the shotgun.

So now the most difficult styles to play are both Freedom and Shotgun.. Even tho Freedom still remains harder to play imo, the 80% health + the worse block in the game really makes you need to develop a playstyle between agressive and passive, buuut, Shotgun seems pretty interesting, might use it a little!

@@jeramiahfryhling Smash is an a tier style, its not meta but in the right hands it can be, smash doesn't even counter fully because its main way of block damage other than its m1s, which take 2 m1 chains, is its m2, which is easy to dodge, and turtle can pretty much just outdamage it most of the time. Turtle is not a bad style, its only mid or bad matchups are smash and shotgun, it counters and has a good matchup into all meta styles. Turtle is anti-meta

played the update, shotguns is not fun to go against, it's basically hammer, choros, wolf and hitman combined without the downsides, like the boosted mode m1 is very close to ghost jab... like even if you play extremely well, you lose, so a nerf is needed, 2 ways, nerf all the boost stats in there hit speed, or make him take more damage/make his jaw actual glass, like make the counter m2 for bullet to 3 hit kill him cuz the stats shotgun has are basically above legendary
