Of the CZs, the Upland Ultralight is interesting because it is legitimately the lightest O/U anywhere remotely near its price point, and the one offered with extractors instead of ejectors (which I would argue is better for actual field use).

Hello, Steve! Thank you for posting this video and giving us an inside look at this years shot-show. Great video, always look forward to your content. My wife and I would love to see a review on the Beretta A400 upland in 28ga. I’ve gotten her into clay shooting in past two months, she’s new at the sport but already loves it. I am considering purchasing her the Beretta a400 upland 28 and would love a video if you get a chance to make it. As far as personal experience with CZ’s products, they make good side by sides and O/U’s. I have a Bobwhite G2 20ga, and my grandpas has the G2 28ga. We love them. I also have the CZ 628 field select and it shoots most ammunition well. However, it will not cycle the Apex TSS ammo. The Apex 2 3/4” is just a tad longer than the Winchester and federal 2 3/4” ammunition and it hangs up in my 628 when trying to cycle it. Thanks again for the great content! Looking forward to the 2023 videos!

All CZ shotguns are made in the backwards, third world country of Turkey. Poor quality, fit, finish and materials. You get what you pay for. Would you be proud to own a shotgun made in Papua New Guinea? How about Algeria or Ethiopia? Same thing.

CZ upland ultralight, redhead premier, and any of the side by sides. The upland ultralight over under is a sweet gun to walk through the CRP with and I think it deserves some light shed on it.

Great stuff, learned a lot from you in the short time since i found your channel and much more to review as I will be subbing as well. The club shotgun shooting range previously operationally extant for decades on the grounds of NAS Miramar so conveniently accessible here in San Diego shut down promptly when USMC took possesion of it from The Navy, and just as my young son and I first got into shotgun sports :( (Apparently an 'environmental' issue at play here). We dont hunt, as of yet anyway, dad being a born and raised 'city boy', alas, with no real growing-up exposure to field and stream, as it were. But we do fancy acquiring something beyond our mossy5 for defensive application purposes, a quality semi auto from below the stratospheric price ranges and realistically, practically, 'tactical', not some gamer-fantasy starship trooper contrivance. Say, the Beretta guns or new Mossberg 940 offerings or...? Dunno. But we trust you to give us the straight dope in a 'this/that/versus' analysis and provide sound advice for a $1k max ( +/- ) acquisition. Be careful if you plan on shooting light target loads on the g2. Has two of them on 12 guage and they would not cycle.lot of headaches. Personally will never own another tristar in my life.

The new Beretta SL2, supposedly coming soon. Looks like it could be a replacement for the Dt11, a limited release of 50 so far. Im looking for a new clay gun from a beretta 694 to krieghoff (price range) I've noticed nobody is doing comparison videos between for example beretta 694/browning pro sport or beretta DT11 VS krieghoff.

FYI the Mossberg SA-20 is made by the same company that makes the TriStar Viper G2. Armsan Arms. I’ve seen several reviews on the SA-20 and all have raved over their performance & feel.

Hate to hear that about Tristar. Aside from family heirloom Remingtons and winchesters, I have been a diehard browning guy (cynergy, Maxus, gold, silver),I just recently got my 6th Tristar this year and I love them to death. Many folks in my area have had great luck with them as well and have experience great customer service. The TT-15 being my favorite. Recently just picked up a viper max to see how it compares to my browning silver seeing as they’re in the same price range or were before browning went up again on silver pricing. Would love to see more Tristar videos if possible.

I own an M3020. I’ve actually owned 2. I now also have the Franchi Affinity 20ga that I bought while working out of town. I actually prefer the Stoeger over the Franchi. I have big hands and do not like the reach to the trigger. Seems like they were designed with a pistol grip in mind.

My thoughts on Turkish shotguns. There are decent Turkish shotguns but there is a very important factor they need to have someone else in the middle doing quality control. Weatherby shotguns, most CZ shotguns, Winchester SXP, tri star, stoger and others are Turkish guns and decent guns for the money. However the no name Turkish brands have serious quality control issues.

Yeah I just recently purchased a 20 gauge TriStar viper g2. It would not cycle out of the box. I completely broke it down (even the magazine release mechanism). Ground and polished every sharp or burred area throughout the entire action areas of the gun (there were many). It runs great now, cycles everything now so far. But it was a lot of work and I don't think most (non-gunsmith) would be able/willing/daring enough to break down a bran new gun to the level I did to fix it.
