The blues has a deeper tone for a wah pedal.. Sounds warm but still feels the room and it’s frequencies aren’t as loud as the original. But I still haven’t gone all the way up with Garly Clark’s pedal. The original wah is what it is! It gives groove tones, rock sound tones, pretty much has a tons of frequency range and it has its lows. Just my opinion….

I've been hammering my original Crybaby From Hell since like 6 months after they first came out, and it still works and sounds amazing! I've even been known to full on stand on it with all my weight, and that's a lot of weight 😂

Thanks! I'm just starting my guitar journey, Dimebag inspired me during the lockdowns all I did was listen to Pantera, so I've ordered a Jackson JS32 Rhoads, can't wait to learn! I love that red Jackson with the reverse headstock, super cool!!!

They never turned the Variable Q or fine tune knob on the sides of the Dime wah. Changing the wah range sweep on the side will only do the sweep of what the Q variable is at.

I haven't seen a review yet where the people actually know what Q is..

Sorry, but you guys are talking dribble. Specifically how and why Dunlop offer a signature Wah to any given artist. They offered one to Dimebag, or his estate, for the exact same reason they did for Gary Clark Jnr. As they did for Joe Bonamassa, Cantrell, Slash, Kirk Hammett et al. It is all commercial. No "fivers under the table". It is straight up and up business. The music business. I know you guys are young, but you're not twelve. C'mon.

I know Dime used the crybaby from hell at demos and possibly in the studio. I did read that he stuck with his Dunlop rack unit so he could place a few controller pedals at various points on the stage. His leads were pretty energetic and he was usually engaging the crowd.

Dimebag was using his wah in Damage plan! You can see that in his rig rundown

Nothing as far as I can tell, they're both based on the 535Q multi-wah with LED indicators for the on/off status and boost.

There’s no such thing as a “metal” wah. It’s a frequency shaping effect. Should have run each guitar through both pedals.

Have you checked the fucking price of copper lately? That's why it's expensive and also why it looks cool as all get out. Yall looked up several things during this video, but couldn't find the time to figure out what has actually gone into the Gary Clark Jr. pedal. To be honest the dimebag wah sounded more like a slightly irritated frog and not like a crybaby at all. If you like the looks and the skater tape then buy it, but the 535Q crybaby does a better job at a wah. If you want a no nonsense wah with more of a female vocal characteristic and if you like copper then get the Gary Clark Jr. Wah. The Wylde Wah is much better than this in my opinion. I feel bad that they're just using Dime to make money (like what you were saying about the GCJ wah) which makes me sad. GCJ wanted a wah so that is why they made this.
@iemetalguitar64314 жыл бұрын
I have the Zakk Wylde wah and the 535q as well as the Dime wah. I actually prefer the Dime wah if you learn how to use it properly it can do sound like the 535q and the Zakk Wylde wah. The Dime wah is the most versatile wah I currently own but if you don't know how to use it, it will sound like complete crap just like any other pedal or amp.

This is a metal wah .... plays blues pentatonic scales 🤣
@roryteal59404 жыл бұрын
Maybe that's because it's named after a guitarist who often played pentatonic?

@ryanmounce28504 жыл бұрын
It is named after a guy who cited Billy Gibbons as a major influence.
@KickflipGnasty2 жыл бұрын
Metal is about tone more so than the scales you play. You clearly don’t know a lot about it if that’s your only take away here lol Dime played pentatonics all the time bruh. As well it’s not all purely pentatonic here. He’s using the flat five and other passing tones. Pentatonic is when you’re only using the five main tones. Hence the ‘pent’ in ‘pentatonic’.
