We are so excited to jump into Simply Good and Beautiful Math as soon as each of my kiddos finish up the level they are in from TGTBs discontinued Math. Are you going to use the new curriculum this year? If so, which levels are you planning on? We'll be using Levels 2 & 4 and have flip throughs of both on the channel!

I love the fact that you took the time to do a flip-through with relevant comments, and you gave us time to get a glimpse of each page so we can actually get a good idea what the book is like. After seeing what the pages look like and hearing the comments, I am eager to use this with my child.

Thank you so much for the feedback! It's hard to know sometimes how helpful our commentary is 😅

Would level 4 be 4th grade? We started homeschooling due to covid my son couldn't handle virtual. Having adhd he couldn't do 6hrs on comp. We are now homeschooling this year for his 4th grade year. So I am still trying as a mom with ADHD to get the hang of it lol.

Yes, Level 4 is designed as a 4th/5th grade Math. However I would highly recommend do the placement tests with your son to make sure you get the level that fits HIM where he's at - maybe it's Level 4, maybe it's a lower or higher level. The beauty of Homeschooling is that you get meet him where he's at and build from there rather than struggle through something he's not ready for or bore him to death with something he has mastered. Here's the link to there placement test page: www.goodandbeautiful.com/placement-tests/

I'm so glad you're searching out resources and asking questions! Hubby and I both have ADHD, as well as 2 of our kiddos, it is DEFINITELY a struggle but you'll get there! In fact kiddo ADHD is a big reason for why we homeschool. Be willing to give yourself and you your son lots grace, and know that you have all the time in the world (or at least until the the next school year starts if the plan is for him to go back)!

Hello! Is there an instructional video for each lesson?😊
@OnTheSamePageTogether3 жыл бұрын
Hi Brooke! That is a great question! I just finished going through all of the videos and MOST lessons have a video. The ones that don't have a video are Game/Activity lessons: I found 1 game day review lesson in Unit 1; 3 activity lessons in Unit 2; and 3 game day lessons in Unit 4. Lessons that might be difficult to convey in a video: Unit 3 has 3 of these lessons and they are Lesson 69 - Long Division Part 5; Lesson 75 - Roman Numerals; and Lesson 82 - Tessellations. or Unit/Course Assessments. One of the blue boxes under the course images on the product page is a link to the videos if you want to take a closer look. Feel free to ask any follow up or clarifying questions! 💖

I also just fixed the link to the instructional videos in the description of this video if that's faster 😅

Are the pages easy to tear out do you know by looking at them? I heard they were. I like taking them out and putting them in binders.
@OnTheSamePageTogether3 жыл бұрын
The lay flat binding has a nice perforation on each page. By look and feel, I would assume is easy to tear out. I just tested the edge of one we will need to tear out at some point and it was not difficult. Though I didn't do the whole page, and my hand was at the binding working it off not at the edge of the book. I hope that helps! Feel free to ask follow up questions 💖 (I point out the perforation and possibility of tearing them out in my Math 2 flip through if you want to see more 😘)

@@OnTheSamePageTogether thank you . That helps . I’ll check out you math 2 video. I was originally gonna print it but I don’t have a double sided printed so I thought of just buying it and take the pages out.

Honestly if you're wanting to put it in a binder, printing it yourself on single-sided paper might be a better way to go. Especially if you're doing one lesson at a time. That way you don't ever run into "Oh only do this side of the page because that side's for another day."

@@OnTheSamePageTogether thanks. I’ll do that instead. Thank you.
