The title is "Les Phases De La Lune". I think the numbers in the artwork might be relating to some melodies in the song but the title was actually hidden in the video. Because there are seven moon phases in the music video: 00:00 Waxing Crescent 01:00 First Quarter 02:02 Full Moon (for some reasons Waxing Gibbous was omitted) 04:50 Waning Crescent (for some reasons Waning Gibbous and Last Quarter were omitted) 04:55 New Moon 04:56 Waning Crescent 05:05 Last Quarter 05:20 looks like sunrise since it's orange and it's moving upward (this is not a moon phase I guess) P.S., the final part of music which indicate the New Moon switching back to the Last Quarter was amazing!

I'M GONNA BE UPDATING THIS COMMENT AS I GO Ok, so. 7 notes in a musical scale. The number 7 is not used anywhere on the cover except as the second to last symbol in the title, substituting the letter 'E'. I actually did the obvious thing and spelled out the numbers using note names (in C, because that's standard and also because the tune is largely in the key of C minor). This yielded zero results, whatever string of letters that came out was utter nonsense in whatever language, read either horisontal, vertical or diagonally. I have reason to believe pursuing another similar option such as solfege will not yield in anything either. So nothing there, but maybe the number of numbers under each letter could be something to hold on to. It could also still be that 3 (E) and 6 (A) represent vowel sounds in the actual words, and that 1,2,4,5 represent consonants. Or the inversion of that. so we're gonna hold on to those strings of numbers. We can also just tally up the amount of numbers, that could be an indication of how many letters are in the words. So it's P. H A. S. 7. S 10. 11 9. 12 10. 12 Don't know if that's gonna matter yet. Next, the clue is that the full title might not be in English. He wouldn't say that if it was in English, so we can rule out English. The obvious next choice would be French. They have the word 'phases' as well. Although, if the numbers above corresponds to word length, perhaps German should be considered. They have the word 'phase' but not 'phases', the plural in German is 'phasen'. Alright that's all I got so far, can't wait to see the video. oh, and I see all y'all just saying stuff like 'Les sept phases' etc. without showing any of your work. cmon do better;)

I'm trying to solve this for like 7 hours now. For a brief moment I could feel the solution right in my hands, but I still have no clue. The last thing I found out is that in the leftmost part of the pattern, there are a 2 or even 3 possibilities to get "lune" - (12-21-14-5) in alphabet position - if you jump from number to number, always ending on the middle 5 below the last S column. But thats seems more like some odd coincidence to me. I have to give up now, I am already 10 mins late for an appointment, I have for the evening. May some other brave guitarist find the solution!

Hi Antoine, im on this decoding stuff from the beginning and i tried a lot of things maybe numbers means letters in musical scale do re mi fa so la si do or ABCDEFG but i didn't find out but i came up with something, but i would like to know if there is any good in my logic. So we know that repetitive sequence 61656452126153- 14 numbers. I made a circle, or a clock looking thing and i draw 6 line with the 6 column sequence there are under the 6 letters to find out why there is longer and shorter codelines. So i found that the the 6 drawn lines turning counterclockwise, or it could be Phases of the moon if i turn every line in North to South, as we know that the moon or Lune has something to do in the title... BUT returning to the math in every line there is missing numbers from the repetitive sequence. So from the first column to the last the missing numbers are 6153 126 64521 56 6165 36 i tried to find letters in that but nothing really seems to be working BUT these numbers last digit 361656 fits in the 14 digit sequence is that 6 digit will be the key maybe? Its in C major scale EACAGA could be a guitar tuning? lol or Mi La Do La So La or CFAFEF in standard scale but its weird... Im going crazy a bit with this challenge but i love it thanks for the hint in advance

I got something: Since Antoine liked the "Sept Phases De La Lune" by Mike Bruce, I am pretty shure that's the answer. "Sept phases" can be cut out I think since we have it already in the written title. Hence, "De La Lune" stays. If you translate that into the letter's position in the alphabet, you get "4-5;12-1;12-21-14-5" All consist of digits below 7. Could there be a connection to the pattern? Edit: These are by the way 12 digits, which is just twice the number of columns.

This riddle is really hard. I was thinking whether I should post my findings here, since it would help the others to solve it, but who cares? It's a game right? Let's play together! I found so far that the numbers below the letters are a repeating pattern. It goes like this: (P)6(S)165(VII)6(S)4521(A)26(H)153 / 61656452126153 which consists of 14 numbers. However, I can't recognze it. It is neither pi nor Euler's number. Antoine could have just rolled a dice to create it. At first I thought this was some kind of tab, since the 6 columns could represent the guitar strings, but that didnt bring me any further. The hint in the video is obviously the moon (fr: lune, rus: luna, ger: Mond). However, the moon is usually considered to have only 4 phases: new, 1st quarter, full, 3rd quarter. So, 7 phases of the moon doesn't really make sense (at least in astronomy).

@@AntoineDufour Could it be that the title makes use of some English or French idiomatic phrase or word play? In this case I'm afraid I'm out. My mother tongue is German, so it might be impossible for me to recognize it. :/

@AntoineDufour well when i saw your comment that you agreed with someone on there only being 4 phases of the moon with 7 day cycles for a total of 28 days, that's when i knew that the VII in the artwork wad merely a clue and not actually a part of the song title. So based on that and the moon appearing in the videp.... I figured that The Phases of the moon had to be the full title

Hello Antoine, I know the riddle has already been solved and from the winning answer, it seems that the numbers are not really related to the title of the song. I however still have a couple of questions....is there a specific reason why the sequence of numbers, in each row has 1 number missing in order to be linked to the next sequence of numbers? For example; the repeating sequence is 61656452126153. This is repeating and in each row, but there is 1 number missing in order to link it to the next one, where the missing numbers are (616563)?! I was really thinking it has something to do with the riddle but it seems not :( Also, I was thinking that the offset of the recurring sequence has something to do with the word "phases", where the sequence seems to be out of phase with one another...

What's the right way? He said that phases was part of the title, told us it was in french... There's a moon in the video. I'm not a multilinguistic codebreaker so other than the VII in the artwork, the other numbers weren't really necessary to figure it out. I thought for sure I commented the full french title first but i guess someone beat me to it. Hopefully I at least contributed to the solution for whoever broke the code "the right way" lol
@danielsundquist9553 жыл бұрын
Hello Antoine, First of all, you are amazing and the song is great. I believe that it is called 7 phases. In the artwork, the E is spelled out as a 7 (VII) which is why "7" could be the missing word. Also, it fits in with your clue about the fact that the title isn’t necessarily in english, as “7 phases” could also be said in French (“sept phases”). To write the song, I believe that you generated a code which repeats itself under each letter in the artwork. Something like this: 16564521261536, etc. Each number would correspond to a note in a scale, or even a chord in a key. You then used different starting points of this repeating pattern to create chords and melodies. For example, the code: “361656” in D# Major sounds to me like it could correspond to the melody which starts at 0:17. “2615” could correspond to the first four chords of the song (in D# Major: 2 = Fm, 6 = Cm, 1 = D#, 5 = A#). Both of these lines of code come from the repeating line of code that I cited above. Therefore, using different “phases” of the code for different parts of the song, you created this piece of music - "7 Phases". /Daniel
3 жыл бұрын
Hm, sounds plausible. But why would he leave out the 7th all the time? I mean the 7th might sound odd from time to time, but I think Antoine has enough composing skills to deal with it, right?
@danielsundquist9553 жыл бұрын
@ If the code was generated randomly or somewhat randomly, or if the melodies "had to follow" the string of numbers, then the 7 would definitely clash with some cords which is why it would have been left out. For example, 1 as a baseline with 4 + 7 together in a major scale, would probably not have sounded good in this song
3 жыл бұрын
@@danielsundquist955 Or it was indeed randomly, but using just a normal dice. Hence no 7. And by the way: If you add the numbers you get 53. That is just 4 more than the average of 14 dice rolls (which is 49). It is thus not unlikely that Antoine really used a dice.
