Send prayers up for me. July 31st I will be having a Total Knee Replacement due to bone on bone. I’m ready. I’m tired of the pain. I know God has this so I’m casting all my worries at his feet. I’m ready to have my life back.

Found your channel a couple months ago. You are an inspiration and a blessing to many others. When I was struggling with finances, cleaning, raising my son, etc, KZbin didn’t even exist yet (I’m old, lol)! Add this to your sink envelope…a nice sink will bring you encouragement every time you use. Blessings to you and your family.

Praying for total healing to his heart! Heart line up with the word! Jesus said,” By His strips We Are Healed.” It’s by our faith that we will receive! Even if you have the size of a mustard seed! He is your Father and wants to heal you! We just need to know when we ask anything from Him , He will Do It! See Your Husband healed and not sick! And you will see him everyday getting better! And get busy with life, and there will be real true healing! Speak it into the atmosphere! Because when we keep talking like he still sick, satan takes our words and runs with it! There is cursing and blessing that come out of our mouth! We ask healing to his total body, total restoration in the name above every name, JESUS

What’s helped me is to concentrate on my daily 5: 1. Make the bed 2. 1 load laundry 3. Dishes and counters 4. Straighten up house 5. Touch up bathrooms When I stay on top of that it becomes easier and easier to keep up with. I try to start 1 load laundry before I even have my cup of coffee first thing in the morning. Hope this helps!

I just bought the mobile home I've been renting. It's very old and needs lots of love, but I'm over the moon happy. I lived in a beautiful home with my ex-husband, and I walked away from it. I had to start from scratch, so this purchase is a symbol of my freedom and something I did on my own with almost nonexistent finances 😅 I love my little trailer.

I had to keep reminding myself that one of my big jobs as a mom was to make sure when they were grown they had the ability to manage their own home, finances, relationships, etc. So we split all the chores including laundry, cleaning, and home maintenance and rotated so we all had a chance to learn together. When they became teenagers we sat down and figured how much I spent on them including snacks, clothes, school supplies, entertainment, etc. I took that and gave it to them in a monthly allowance and helped them learn to plan for future expenses. This helped them learn the value of making their money stretch, plan for big expenses like new gaming systems, and deal with the consequences of spending money too fast. My boys are grown now and both have better credit ratings than me, keep their homes nice, and are the kindest men I’ve ever met. I count myself a successful momma and couldn’t be more proud ❤️

Tip🙂 leaving your washing machine lid open when it’s not being used helps keep it from smelling musty. It gives the inside a chance to air out and dry completely. I feel it helps keep the musty smell out of your clothes. I do it year round at my house. I have a top loader.🙂

Don’t be ashamed or down on yourself. You have taught me so much about myself. You say we have taught you but you are the best inspiration! You have shown me how to be me and love me. I will forever be thankful that Jesus led me to you.

This was my solution for keeping my master bath counter free of clutter. Get a storage container for you and Shane each, with a lid so they can stack, put your stuff in one, his in the other. Put them under the counter, or stack them at the end, or even on a shelf in the bedroom. When you go to take your shower,or get ready, take your container with you. As you use your stuff toss it back into the container. Put it up when your done. Now, my husband and I each have a drawer . Back in the day, we had a container. You could even do this with a cubbie for your children. Your bedroom is such a vast improvement! It looks great!

One thing a friend taught me years ago was instead of blocking out time to sweep or vacuum the floors every time in needed it was to just take two minutes spontaneously and pick up the big bits by hand instead of worrying about dragging out the broom or vacuum. You could have two-minute drills periodically throughout the day with your kids. “Everybody pick up bits off of the floor for two minutes!” while you play an energetic song on your phone or something. You can still do the daily sweep but it just keeps things feeling tidier throughout the day. Your home is lovely!

We have 6 (now adult children) and the amount of clothes, shoes, toys etc. was phenomenal. I didn’t know how much the house could hold 😂. Then, one by one, our kids toys were outgrown and their belongings changed. We still had lots of clothes but they went from toys to musical instruments. Enjoy the process. Merina you are going through the same struggles all of us women go through who are honest about it. Don't ever let anyone make you feel embarrassed. I'm 59 and it's taken me all these years to realize that I have ADD. I can go through my house like a hurricane and not accomplish anything, because I start and stop in every room I go into. I haven't found my niche in getting things done around the house. I make lists, I try zone cleaning, I set timers, but nothing has worked. So I just do what I do and chip away at it. I'm so proud of how far you've come! You and Shane have made your home beautiful! Love & hugs from West Tennessee

Love it! Clutterbug has a great tip for corralling makeup, etc. She suggests a cleaning caddy for those frequently used/daily items, and you can put solo cups in it to separate and contain the categories of smaller items. It keeps everything organized, neat, super accessible, and handy. I also like Minimal Mom's great tip for taking care of the products and items we accumulate in the bathroom that we've bought, but don't like, when we don't want to throw them out, and want to try to use them. She suggests placing them in a "wait and see" container (tote, bin, bucket, bag). This way they're corralled and accessible, but not burdensome clutter. You choose and set a time limit for either using the contents, donating, or tossing them. At the end of the "wait and see" period you've set, everything that's left is donated or let go.

I was an absolute clean freak and cleaned every spare minute I had ( I worked from 7am to 8pm 5 days a week and Thankfully I could take my son to work with me)but when we were home I cleaned and did not like anything out of place. Well one day I happen to notice when my son came in from playing outside he was looking behind him as he walked in making sure he wasn’t tracking In anything!!! Oh my I broke down , what have I done ??? I struggled and by the Grace of My Precious Jesus I changed . Iam and will always be some what a clean freak , I DONOT over do it . That one moment absolutely healed me . I had a good friend tell me “ kids remember how much fun they had not how clean the house was.”Anyway Thank You for sharing and being so real. God Bless . As a manufactured home owner and an owner of a doxie (and a plus size girl), I see so much of myself in you. One thing I've learned to do in my routine is do certain chores on certain days. For instance I clean the bathrooms on Tuesdays and do the floors on Sundays. It helps hold me accountable and takes the thought out of what goals to crush. I also run the dishwasher EVERY night... even if it isn't full. It might be a little wasteful, but it's worth it (to me) to not wake up to do that chore and feel behind. In the morning as coffee is brewing I'll unload the dishwasher. It works for me! ❤

Merina, I think you're amazing! I've been on your channel for a while and have seen many of the makeovers and DIY's. You and Shane are outstanding. But what I love the most is you; watching you grow - as a Christian, as a woman, a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a care-giver and all of the things! You are an inspiration. I thank God for you and your beautiful family. Keep those videos coming! 💖

I just want to let you know that if you put rain gutters on your trailer it will save you money down the road . It helps keep the rain off of your home and it will protect it longer and it looks so much better as well . And if you get a rain barrel you can put that under the down spout and use thatvwater to water your plants and garden so it's a win win

Standing rain was the culprit of that cave in in the bathroom! I need to look up how I would do this with such little space but I’m sure Shane could find a way to pull it off!

I am happy I came across this channel. I enjoy watching a channel that I can relate to. I do not have money to spend on crazy expensive makeovers in my condo. My place tends to get messy during the week, and I clean it all up during the weekend. I can really relate to you. I also enjoy seeing the relationship you have with your family.

I cleaned out under my bathroom cabinets, and medicine cabinets tonight. I even started painting the inside one the first medicine cabinet. I grew up in this house and just noticed we have that slit in the back of the cabinet for old razor blades! I only know what it is from utube and watching reno videos!

It’s ironic that you got your inspiration from Shoney’s .. My hubby purposed to me in our home town Aiken SC on one knee in a Shoney’s restaurant. It was a packed house and everyone applauded and encouraged me to say yes 😂 I was so embarrassed… Unfortunately Shoney’s. closed years ago. Next month we will be celebrating our 28th anniversary.. Beautiful job on the progress of your home. Thanks for sharing 😊

@FearfullyCreated The settling can sometimes be a problem with supports underneath. Please make sure you guys take a look underneath your home to make sure there aren't any support issues. Good idea to check this when noticeable settling occurs, this can be from shifting and sinking and can cause a lot of problems. From my understanding this is supposed to be looked at 1 or twice a year. You guys may know that already🥴

They have added tons of wood to that single wide. From what I`ve heard trailers are not even made with 2x4s. I`ve been afraid those floors would separate from the walls. But good luck to them. It`s beautiful.

Also not having gutters is a huge no on any house no matter trailer or house. There’s mud underneath that won’t dry without

Someone else mentioned a gutter system! There’s not any trailers in the trailer park that have gutters (that I can think of) some of those trailers are from the 80s😅😂 for me though, it’s not a chance I wanna take. I told the other person I’ll definitely be looking into some gutters cause the standing water on the roof was the reason the bathroom caved in!

You could get those hammocks for toys for the girls stuffed animals. That way they still have access to them and then put them away at night. First thing in the morning after you get dressed and make your bed, empty the dishwasher. Start a load of laundry. Run a sink of hot water for breakfast dishes. Put something in the crockpot for supper or at least know what you're going to fix. If meat or anything needs to thaw put it in the fridge. Remember what FlyLady says, progress not perfection. Now if you have any appointments or will be away from home, you will have gotten something done so you're not so overwhelmed later. I hope this reminder helps. Sending love and prayers for all of y'all. Please give Nanny a big hug from me. God bless you all.

Merina, ("mershane" here, not sure if you remember that lol, if you don't remember that I sound like a real weirdo right about now) every family struggles with the "little papers on the floor." And every family has those little projects that need to get done. You are definitely not alone! Your house is beautiful inside and out and so are you. 😊 Even without all those DIYs it would still be beautiful because God blessed you with it and a beautiful family to live in it. 😊

You and Shane work so well together. You 2 are doing great things and have made a huge impact on people. I hope your nanny and Shane’s mom is doing better! I was wondering how your parents, your brother and his girl friend was doing? Have you done anymore decorating or upgrades at your brothers home? Yes, I am 47 years old and I remember Shoney’s. It use to be so good. I’m in Louisiana. I am not sure if we have any left. Where I’m at, there is not any. Thank you for all your tips and tricks you share with us and sharing your life with us. My dad always said the kids won’t remember a messy house, but they’ll remember the time spent with their parents and the food they eat! My parents taught me to be clean, and growing up we had to put our toys back in our rooms and we had chores to do, and helped with dishes. I was a single mom of four, since my youngest daughter was two years old and my oldest daughter 10 years old, and took parenting classes to help me. So when my oldest son at 15 wanted to go to a friend’s house, I’d say “ sure, I’d be happy to let you go, as soon as you take the trash out” and he immediately took it out happily and then asked if he could go and of course I said yes! Those classes helped a lot. My nightly cleaning consisted of making sure, I went to bed with a clean sink, no dirty dishes, and living room picked up. But now, with all kids grown and because of 4 deaths in my family, depression and anxiety, my house needs so much work. I am on the struggle bus for real! I’m trying baby steps to get back on track. Your videos give much needed inspiration! You have a beautiful home and have come so far!
