In this Sitka Jetstream updates review we take a look at the new Sitka Jetstream jacket updates and what is different between the old Sitka Jetstream and the new one. The Sitka Jetstream has long been a favorite in the Sitka Jackets lineup, but it had several complaints including being on the noisy side, as well as the sizing being off. Well, Sitka set out to improve one of the most popular jackets and brought to market the new Sitka Jetstream, where they made a much quieter face fabric, enhanced the fit, and make a few other nice changes.

Thanks for the great video! What is your height and weight? That brought you to an XL? I'm 5-10, 180 and think that puts me in the L ( for the old version) but I've heard about the fit issues. Just trying to get a reference point

Hey there Peter! I'm 5'11", 185lbs, and I first tried the LG (in the old version), but it was too tight and too short. In the new version z the LG Tall was perfect, but I needed the tall for my long arms. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

@LeoParsi11 hey there! The Jetstream gives a little warmth, but not a lot. It's best used as an outer shell that'll protect from wind, some rain, and snow. Thanks for watching!

Buying the old jet stream I’m 5”11 195lbs I would like to put the kelvin lite down under this jacket. What size would you recommend thanks great video

Hey there! You should be OK with the XL. I'm very similar size and the XL in this video is just right. Although, I wouldn't recommend putting the Kelvin Lite Down under it personally. The Jetstream will compress the down and reduce the effectiveness of the Kelvin Lite Down. You are better of putting non-puffy style pieces under this, or even something like the new Ambient Jacket is perfect under this. Thanks for watching!

hello. thanks for video. I've just purchased the old version of the jetstream jacket and i have an issue rergarding water leaking on the back of the jacket, at the place where it has a branding and sizing form the inside, it has a seaming around it and form the outer side rain penetrates in the seam little holes and it soaking, many of you would agree with me that the back is most sensitive area of body or i would not complain, have you ever noticed the same problem on your jacket before. thank you in advance

How well does this outer material clean off /repel hair/blood/etc when you are carrying out after field dressing? The old version outer layer seems like it would perform/clean up better.

Hey there! So far it has cleaned up juat fine for me. That said, it does seem to be a more absorptive material than the previous, so I could see it eventually not wanting to clean up as much. Thanks for watching!

Hey, I’m 6’1” about 165/170, what size are you thinking for me. Old Jetstream I had a medium tall but was tight with layers.. i wear a size large in the fanatic jacket. And a large in most other, but for the length.. thoughts?

@@jeremywalker7292 that sounds right! Should be good with a large/tall, depending on your shoulders/arm length. I've got longer arms(30in draw with a bow). I'd probably start with a large/tall though.

Когда взял себе camp hoody в привычном для себя LR, то с удивлением обнаружил, что она только- только подходит на меня ( рост 180, вес 92). Рукава оказались довольно коротки, запаса особо нет.
