Service cost of Hyundai is more than Skoda 2.0 cars. I own both . its a myth that maruti and Hyundai has lower Service and maintenance cost. Even after 3 years of using kushaq, my only cost was changing the wiper blade for Rs 500 and changing the horn to dual tone horn for Rs 1469. No other cost ,as 4 years service maintenance package was included in the initial cost of the car.

VW ka ye 1.0 litre engine bhp aur torque ke mamle me apni actual potential ka just 35% pe aata hai. VW ne isi 1.0 engine se monoscroll turbocharger + e-booster system(kind of a supercharger) laga ke apne OEM map pe 272 BHP aur 270 nm torque nikal rakha hai. Had se zyada strong hai is engine ka block, cylinder head, piston rod, camshaft + other components. Stage 1 OEM map pe ye 132 BHP aur 240 nm Torque tak jaati hai plus fuel economy bhi badh jati hai by 1-2 kmpl. Now imagine the potential of 1.5. Bhai ye VAG ki gaadiyaan cheez hi alag hai 💯

I love everything about this car, can even ignore not so attractive looking tail light design (my personal opinion, Kushaq has much better tail ight design, though Kylaq has a bold and better front design) , but yes, I agree instead of going for such a huge boot space in a sub-4 meter vehicle, they could have balanced it with a good rear seat space. A 380-400 liters of boot space with decent leg room in the rear seat would have been a much better approach.

when the product is right, it can pull great numbers. Virtus even being in a dead sedan segment costing 13-23 lakhs gets 2k sales monthly. Kylaq will be the most affordable Skoda, plus turbo engine from base model is a killer deal, it's also got the 2nd best space after 3XO in the segment. I'm expecting at least 3k monthly

Also as the respected journalists pointed out, servicing-maintenance affordability and accessibility matters a lot in ownership experience. If you mostly live in a major city with decent income and low running, which car brand you choose doesn’t even matter.

It now all depends how many "gimmicky" features (eg: air purifier🤡, panoramic sunroof 🤡, ADAS 🤡)Skoda can put in it. Most of Indians buy cars based on these show-off features, they don't care about handling or dynamics. Talking about service cost in 2.0 cars, it's pretty cheap if you get it done on time and only from service center. There are unreliable, high maintenance cars like Nexon, 3XO but still they sell because of these gimmicky features.

If you are not driving a lot, keep your budget as low as possible. Make a list of 'essential' features for yourselves, as you won't drive a lot, many features can be compromised without thinking. Nexon is a great car, Kylaq is great too. 3xo ka boot space kam hai so may not help with family outings. Basalt is an amazing car, feels great to drive and size wise biggest with safety.

Take punch ev I drive per day 150 km and it's like bike expenses on me i have longer range punch which gives 370 km + average don't waste your money on petrol or other like CNG because nothing will come closer to punch ev and you are city driver on weekend so best go for longer version will come in your budget

Not sure, why you guys are so biased about Skoda/VW. You have absolutely no idea about parts and service. Skoda 2.0 is really easy and cheaper to maintain. My last 2 years of service cost of skoda Kushaq is just 10k, 5k each year. That was old time before Kushaq/Slavia, Tigun/Virtus. This new time of skoda/VW is much more cheaper and easier to maintain.

For an eg. Oil filter of Maruti Suzuki will cost you 100Rs whereas skoda 200Rs. If one of the parts has failed due to one of the screws then in maruti you can change that screw only where as in skoda you will have to change the whole part.

If talking about comparison of service cost in top selling Indian Car companies at present.. Hyundai service is too much expensive without any need...like unnecessary add ons ..as by force .. My personal experience In 2022 ..there 20k service for NIOS petrol was around 6k although refused except of basic requirements as per schedule. So i sold out further that nd now using pre owned 1.5 Reno Scala ptl mt... Spacious..more strong build n comfortable with less hassle fee expenses according to need.

Service cost = 0 My Taigun clocked 45000km, 3rd service done. I got free service value pack of 4 services till 60000km, all consumables like engine oil etc are covered. Till now i have spent 0 for services. One more point the service interval is 15000km whereas other brands have 10000km service interval. So that also saves atleast 33% money in servicing. There is a service cost calculator on VW website you can check service cost of even 200000km. Conclusion Service is not costly at all.

@sharma728 I got SVP free of cost it covers 4 services till 60000km within 4 years. I guess it costs around 26000rs if you buy. That is reasonable for 4 services. Wheel alignment is not covered in SVPs. If you are certain you will drive car for 60000km in 4 years then certainly you should buy SVP if your running will be let's say 25000km km in 4 years then only one service of 15000km will be covered that will be wastage of money.

Amit Ji, not meaningful talk. 1.0 engine is useless for the city commuters, airconditioner is also meaningless in summer. Traveling of clutch is like that paddling a boat. You can't fool city commuters in name of driving dynamics. Turbo leg in city driving with MT as well as DCT also. I will not buy 1.0 engine even if body of car is painted by gold. VW/ Skoda are good with 1.5 engine only. Skoda will survive only if they sell 1.5 engine at reasonable price. Enthusiastic middle class definitely fascinated to buy it.

@@ShrirajKesariya bhai 8000 service cost is not expensive.. same is for maruti and hyundai. gone are the days when skoda vw service was 14-15k. I’m using VW for past 2 years. Just stick to service from service center and these cars will never give problems to you.
