@@SumitKumar-iq4gt It is reasonable considering that you need to service only after 1 year or 15,000 kms whichever is earlier. Mine had run much less. Last month I serviced it after 1 year and it came to around Rs.4000/- (In addition I had taken 4 years' maintenance package for Rs. 30,000/- already). The quality of service and the treatment by Skoda were very good.

@Dhruv Parihar The general service cost is around 9k for every 15k kilometers. It is a decent price compared to cars which require service every 7.5k km or 10k km. My Verna costs me 7k to 8k per service and it requires servicing for every 10k km. So for a strong sedan like rapid the price is justified. The Skoda executive told me that the availability of parts for the rapid has been made available all over India as the rider and rider plus variants are being sold in very large numbers. So I am guessing that rapid owners will have access to parts more easily moving forward.

I have heard that there are issues relating to steering system, abs sensors, plus other electronics. I personally saw the car bottoming while entering the showroom with only 3 adults aboard all within normal weight range. The entrance was a bit ramped up and the tail of the car scrapped badly. What's your opinion about it. Also I had shortlisted this car for purchase recently but the test car provided had very hard rear seats which was simply not great. Unfortunately there was no other car available at the showroom so could not make a final judgement about the seats.

Although the car itself is really good, he has masked a few of it's negatives with a lot of bias. The touch screen unit has received really bad impressions from every other reviewer. Its unresponsive and does not support Android Auto/Apple CP. The 6.5 inch display in lower variants is a better option. He did not mention how placing USB and Aux inputs inside the glove box is a super inconvenience as well. Apart from this, review was good.

I have a 2012 model skoda rapid TDI run 75000kms.Though slightly expensive to maintain, the cars looks , ride and handling compensates for most of it. The 1.6 ltr diesel engine is a delight to drive.ABS sensors fail quite often and can prove expensive to replace. The best alternative is importing via Alibaba. Recently got it remapped by RedBand customs , Thrissur Kerala. 130bhp and 310nm of torque. Now its all the more fun behind the wheels. Looking forward to clock atleast 1.2lk kms. Cheers

Rapid provides basic safety features like seat belt pretentioners only in top end and if you arrange fog lamps in low end models then warranty will be void. Please don't get carried away with low end pricing.

Everything acceptable except this new android infotainment system with Style and Monte Carlo variant. Mr. Zac Hollis should consider upgrading the system to at least new OS when "CarPlay" or "AndroidAuto" is not supported. With new OS, some new Android app at least people can use. Android7 OS based poor infotainment in year 2021 sold Skoda Rapid is a big shame.

I have skoda rapid dsg from past 5 years ..the cost of spare parts have drastically gone down..like my rear bumber got changed only for 5500..coming on service .. that's the tricky part because in usual service It's up to you .. if you have knowledge and awareness about the service ..then their isn't any problem..but if you left your car on faith of showroom guyz..then be ready for hole in your pocket.

@@udiptaborah yes spares are easily available now , earlier there was problem for spares ..when i bought rapid in one or two months the joystick which use to set the side view mirrors got broke and i got that part after approx 8 months that too was very costly around 3800 , now the same costs around 1700,, from 1.5-2 years ..their service standards have gone descent .talking about basic service ,well that totally depends on you..let me give you example ..whenever i took car for service it costs around 12-13000 but my dad who isnt aware that much about the mechanically , costs , necessary parts etc..when he went they charged around 17k :d ..so you must be aware mechanically ,there service costs is mentioned on their portal as well.. but let me tell you one thing i can bet if you drove this beast ..you won't even look to those korean and japanese tin cans. it simply puts smile every time i took it for a spin.

But Zac Hollis has been rolling out light upgrades - one was out at the start of the year, I believe the second one should be out too by this time. I don’t believe build quality issues should be there in any variant. Haven’t come across it as a persistent issue on the owners forums online. Would imagine it’s a sporadic case.

@@user-bl4mp5vm9c I had been a POLO 1.5L diesel user since 6 years.. no doubt these cars are fun to drive and for driving enthusiast but when I got into rapid nothing felt different.. it was same interior same feeling of German cars.. but this time after having family I was more inclined towards the comfort and premium feeling which I felt after driving city.. I guess I have made a good choice because this time my requirements changed.. but I still miss the punchy engine of German cars.. which nothing can beat for sure..! Hope this explains why I switched to city.. and about headlights I have no problem in night driving as I have opted for ZX Variant which is equipped with LED headlight and fog light..
