Love the channel and how you always respond to comments. I do have one question about the slab mini. Can you slide across multiple buttons easily? I've been trying to learn zangief and everyone says sliding makes it easier to input 360/720@@HushMySweet1

@@hotshotsh1 Firstly, thank you! Secondly, I would say that I can slide across these caps well enough for those type of inputs. The combination of smooth texture caps and relatively low actuation force in the switches makes it pretty good for that in my opinion. However, if you find it's not smooth enough for you personally, then changing the switches to something like a Punk Workshop low stem key switch would make it even easier. I can try to demo that in the next ArcadePCBs vid I do. Thanks for watching.

I just ordered the new Mini and the larger MX, and simply cannot wait. I have a Sallybox which is great but these ones from ArcadePCBs just look so much nicer, plus the custom artworks is icing on the cake

I've been in a slump wheter to get this or an Snack Box Micro, how would you compare the two?

Depends on what you prioritize. The dimensions between the two are pretty comparable. However, Micro is thinner, and button slides are easier with stock switches over the Slab Mini. On the flipside, the Slab Mini has full size switch options, a cool OLED splash screen, and then its aux buttons feel much nicer than the Micro's (which helps if you lab a lot with training room features). FWIW, I don't necessarily prioritize the ultra smallest/thinnest controllers, so I'm probably more endeared to both companies' larger offerings: the Micro XL and the Slab MX, with the Slab MX winning out between the two IMO. I'm getting a video out on that one soon here.

How did you save the footprints on your computer did you find them for another website. If so can you drop the link?

I just used the art itself and pulled out the footprints. The Shaggy one has the same footprint pattern so I just selected those in Photoshop and turned them to a two-tone thing that would fit the square, following the existing footprint pattern. As long as it's those dimensions and basic BW, you can grab about anything. My previous Slab Mini vid has a lot of different sprites and such to kind of demo what can be done. I've got the original Slab Mini (paid $180). Overall it's great, I replaced the switches with a silent switch (TTC Frozen V2), and it's more tolerable for my wife to be around me when I'm playing. While it's much cheaper now, I'm not sure if I would get it again when Haute42 has such competitive GP2040 offerings.

way too expensive tho, you can buy a Haute42 G for a third of the price, a Haute42 T for half of the price and Haute42 M (made of metal) for 30€ less than that price
