New Smallest 0.9s 5x5 Piston Door / Tutorial and Explanation

After teaming up with SoulBanished and Timmerman we managed to make an even smaller 0.9s 5x5. While the animation isn't as clean as in the old one, this more than makes up for that with it's compactness and size.
13 x 5 x 12 = 780 blocks
Opens in: 0.9 seconds (0.85 seconds new terms)
Closes in: 0.75 seconds (0.7 seconds new terms)

Awesome design, thank you! I dont know much about redstone and did not understand much about what you said about ticks etc. Nevertheless, I managed to build it in my survival world:) Took me multiple days though and I had to rebuild it at some point because I messed something up. Initaally I though I would hide the redstone, but now I am so impressed by it that I think I will just put it all behind glass^^

Oh btw 20:24 the slider can't go down 2gt earlier because if it did it would bud the pseudo at 36:09 slowing down the bottom by 1gt. Just for information.

Tried to build it step by step with constant rewinding but gave up building it after having spent 2 hours on it already because the pistons kept pushing the sides over when testing messing everything up. Couldn't figure out what was wrong, real struggle to replace everything back when you are in survival mode. Still an awesome design utilizing very niche game mechanics and unbelievably compact, just way beyond my redstone skills to replicate. Going to stick with a simple 3x3 door instead lol

I remember that 0.9s 5x5's were super massive, like 1200b+ some years ago, now they are sub 800b! Btw, in your opinion, what's the "limit size" for 0.9s 5x5's? I think that with some innovation (and prob entities xD) they can get smaller than 700b

Yeah, pretty crazy how small they've gotten. Tbh I don't know if it can be smaller than 780b, cuz the current setup requires 3 high bottom, you could change it of course but then you'd need to fit so much stuff into the bottom, seems unlikely.

some 0.9 5x5 are bigger cuz they're using bigaf 3gt clocks, sides tpe layout for top instant extension that needs 3 bed chaining
