Skoda released a new option to buy in the shop, the smart apps bundle. I tried to install and test it but i failed.

I had the same experience. But after 2 days!!!! They finally showed up!

Dear Mathias, great job! Your persistence is admirable, community surely appreciate your time and effort. Skoda is playing with us customers no doubt it is internally in huge turmoil. Car as such is great, SW is one big joke. Thanks for value adding videos, wish you and your channel best of luck.

Thanks, its good to tell the honest story. On the software perspective I'm also a very disappointed owner. Happy note the end: the Enyaq does give me a lot of nice rides. But just get a simple phone to use apps. Then it works and it's free. 😅

I agree...the ENYAQ gives me a lot of nice rides too...as long as i ignore the software...so running apple carplay and that's doing most of the jobs :)

Mathias, Congratulations, great video. I have a 2022 Enyaq IV 60, I think Skoda's software policy should be changed, you're absolutely right, sustainability also lies in the product's longevity. The general quality of VW products is quite low, I bought the Enyaq because it has a much higher quality level, but I feel that the overall product starts to look quite dated at just 2 years old because of the software.

Too bad you can’t show us a positive software development from Skoda for a change. Sounds like a broken record. In stead of fixing the many major software issues, they waste their time building apps that don’t work. And Skoda even lets you pay? wow. This video is not a waste of your time Matthias! Together with our comments I hope it keeps the pressure on Skoda. So keep up the good work for the Enyaq community.💪

At 3:22 we see that you have a subscription until 11.11.2025, which would be 2y. But you bought only 1. So something really went wrong. I also bought the apps and they run perfectly fine. No issue with the installation.

Same happent to me. Made a reboot infotainment and they worked

I tried the reboot too but for me it did not do the trick...forgot to show that in the video. Glad it helped you :)

Thanks again Mathias, im glad im not the only disapointed owner. Im wondering if Skoda at any point responds to you or if you could get a meeting to clear out why theese things does not work. letting Skoda a chance to let us know if they tries to solve theese issues.. In the mean while it would be nice with some of the positive videos you probaly already did, but before you got back. example i enjoyed the practicality once with how to trancport your dog, how to camp. how does you travel the most easy in your enyaq. any tips for the cold time of driving the enyaq etc. all the best :)

Mathias, i read in a forum that a guy got the same as you. He tried to reboot the knfotainment system (30secs on the power button, and then await it to restart), now it works for him.

There are be some positive videos coming up. Also i'm in contact with Skoda but it does not really help with all those issues (at least not as we all hope). I forgot to record the reboot of the system but i tried that as well. It did not work for me.

Does it require phone installation of an app and screen mirroring or something? I wondered if I may be better just using Android Auto or a full screen mirror and phone apps to get around - I can see this only getting worse on 3.2-4 cars that won't be updated - there will be incompatibilities by the dozen and increasing in time - possibly also being no longer compatible with Android Auto or Apple Carplay as those get updated by their own devs in time - after all old phones are no longer supported by apps and OS makers! Incidentally I installed the updates on mine and took photos of the patch notes in English if you wanted them to add to your earlier video.

I’ve just come from your latest video on the faults with apps. Do you know if these apps are cross make of car? Do VW and Audi have them and do they work on them?

They are not cross made as those Apps are done by Skoda themself as far as I know

I bought the apps just before your video. I have the same experience as you, both do not work. I have a 2021 Enyaq built with ME2.4 (updated to ME3.0).

Thanks for this great video. Enyaq as such is a really nice car but SW is still far from what it should be for such a car...And what I see is that Skoda is just terrible on the SW part. It is sad that someone said or decided that it is ok to put such SW in Enyaq... I'm questioning the capabilities of these decision makers...

For me even powerpass was not stable working in škoda.. constantly crashing. Not even mentioning the idea to switch between different apps / navigations during driving.. it is so lame..

Maybe these apps work on the newest ME4 cars...? Can anyone with an ME4 car confirm? If the apps are intended for ME4 (or higher 3.x version?), they shouldn't show up for incompatible ME versions... Whatever the case may be, their software testing is definitely abysmally poor...

There are ENYAQ drivers with SW 3.0 or 3.2 with working apps out there. As of now i think we don't have a SW 4 ENYAQ already out in the wild so we won't get feedback on this.

Well, the EU car brands are complaining about the invasion of Chinese cars..my opinion, those Chinese cars at least have WORKING software, which can not be said from Volkswagen/Skoda. I said before, the car physically is great, but the software is an insult to all software developers.

Serious? This video prevented me from purchasing and installing of those two apps (including the frustration). Come on Skoda/Cariad, this is really a bad experience. Still on 3.0, probably my last Skoda/VAG car due to this. 😢

Mathias it seems like the bundle and Kalender now works. I just got 3 moth free subscrition in Denmark. Im not sure i would use mony on them apps. But test it out might be enough for a video
