I like the Heritage but I want chrome. I do not like the black out look at all. I also want the rear seat backrest and a heel to toe shifter. Also I want mag rims not spokes. Needs a muffler upgrade also.

Going to purchase a new Harley this coming spring and was going to be the heritage until this abomination of a classic bike came out , looks like a 2017 will be the one I purchase.

Perhaps. But this new model shouldnt be called the heritage softail classic. Should be called the Heritage New Age Classic. Nothing classic style about it. IN fact, the only bike now in the lineup that resembles a classically-styled Harley is the Road King. It is weird that if you want a cruiser that looks like a classic harley, your only options are now Suzuki, Yamaha, or Indian. Trying to wrap my head around that one. Change is good but too much change a once can turn a lot of people off when they are looking for choices and options.

Should not be called the heritage classic anymore this thing does not look classic speaking as a loyal Harley owner this is a mistake some of us still like the classic look.

+boyd70 yeah, it has lost some of his classic look, but if you want to finde something more old style looking you should go for the Deluxe.

HUGE disappointment. They nailed the technical improvements, but this bike is so goddamned boring to look at, I want to puke. Black fork, wheels and engine? WOW.........look a Victory. So, I waited all my live, 62 years to buy a Harley, and I either have to by a Deluxe, add a dual seat and have all the leather reworked to add tassles, studs and buckles, OR buy the other version of the Heritage classic, that I can only get with the 103, and i guess older frame technology? You can't even find that bike on the Harley website. For me, bold, flashy colors , chrome, studs and tassles = Harley. I can see having a few blacked out bikes, but this fetish to make the entire line BORING.......... is sad, to me. Very sad. And those DENIM colors? WTF? Who the hells wants a primer rust color bike? I hate the idea of having to buy a Deluxe and customize it to have the real harley feel. Maybe I should buy an Indian? Really bad model year for Harley,,,,,,in my opinion.
