True but it's still a potential 1 shot that can be used on anyone so long as you get 2 gbs. Also me and my friends have been messing around, bring in 1 or 2 sohei max along with like nobu or another high dmg hero. You'll get your one shot on average after 1 gank or 2 team fights, plus have someone who can kill your enemies while you grab them. Shorter fights = longer life, longer life = more souls = more one shots.

Idk if it was an intentional mechanic or not but Sohei's light parrys can either be inputted immediately to throw an unblockable heavy or, like what you were doing, can be thrown a few frames layer to throw a raw neutral heavy. Idk if this was intentional or just how it ended up

Not it wasn’t, they said at the live, but I doubt it was “unintentional” lol, probably when the price for the hero goes away they will “coincidentally” fix it.

What isn't intentional is that when he does the unblockable heavy finishers after a heavy parry, you only have a single frame to parry them, so they're effectively guaranteed. You're also able to delay and go into an opener heavy instead for the purpose of oos punishes and such, where you may not want to be using a finisher immediately. Or technically you get more damage from throwing an opener light after a heavy parry than a finisher, so once the bug with the heavies being essentially confirmed is fixed that'll be a viable option as well.

Same. My main hope is for some momentum on his finishers so he can try to wiff into them. I think that will honestly be more than enough for now tbh. He seems to be on, just awkward, tbh the utter lack of movement after throwing a opener is probably the one complaint I don't see resolving it's self as the community learns him.

I mean the hero is not that broken you just have to watch out for guard brake because if you block and be mindful of what souls he doesn’t have you can pretty much read him like a book.✌🏻(ps : Yes I played against a whole lobby of him and won so you just have to learn his move kit and you’re pretty much good no danger at all)

It’s not the factor of it being broken. is it healthy is the real question? The character can objectively one shot every 1 min if he is doing good and building stacks plus using the 1 and 3 combo. For many this will be a fun killer. In my opinion buff his base damage lower the “Ult” to about 60 and maybe add a timer similar to revenge. Mainly so you can’t prime it on bots take it to the other side of the map and be ready to one shot a person in a 1v1.

@@johndeegutierrez2520 yes the feat that got a heavy amount of hate and still does. It’s also a feat locked to probably about a single to two uses. This is base kit besides guaranteed one shot. It still hits for 3/4 hp. There was a reason they removed old shiugo hug.

honestly, haven't played against him (tv broke) but he looks really manageable, the zone's the only scary part and it's a 50/50 leading to a 50/50. might suck to fight on ps4 tho because of 400ms lights but it's the price you pay for a unique hero, i suppos

We have weirdly found that the more of him are on a team the worse they do. Everyone just competes for the chance to earn souls and hit each other and even when they DO work in sync they are just better at making openings for others than vice versa. Like lb and nobu have been popping off lately just cause they both can add the damage that the new hero lacks. Plus nobu confirming a hidden stance heavy off the bleed on a target affected by So's tier 1..... Oof.

Very few people play skirmish/elimination. Because the player pool for the mode is lower, a wider skillset of players end up in the same lobbies.

Okay but we all noticed the hero doesn’t always throw his soul weapons when you’ve gotten a light parry right? It literally happens in the first 30 seconds of the video. On the first light parry against the sohei novo punishes with unblockable but then when he parries the conq’s light and throws the heavy it does the opener heavy??

Just delay your input slightly to get more damage with opener heavy, also go straight into mixup again.

I do like the new hero, BUT I am honestly a bit disappointed that they added ANOTHER anime protagonist Samurai. I was HOPING so damn much that it would be a Samurai in a full metal armor, holding the Yari spear that Sohei has, with both hands, who has a Lawbringer-Nobushi mixed style and kit. Knights get all the historical shit, vikings get a bit fiction stuff but stay SOMEWHAT historical (Even though it makes no sense that they have little to no armor, and the fact that they have varangian guard. Varangian guards were mostly kiever rus. Few were of scandinavian origin) Then there are Samurai. Instead of something historical and fun, we get some shonen characters. Only Kensei, Nobushi, Shinobi and Shugoki are somewhat accurate. Kensei are just your average Samurai, nothing special. But with many flashy moves. Nobushi are simply just overprotectice housewives (Also known as Ona-Musha). Shinobi is also accurate fashion wise. But NO Shinobi pulls out with TWO Kusari-gama that have no mace-chain head. Also, kicking in a fight is not inaccurate. But CONSTANTLY making your whole moveset look like you came straight outa Tekwando school is highld bullshit-ish. Shugoki are, like Kensei, just your average Samurai, but fat and with a Kanabō instead of a Nōdachi. And the other Samurai? Orochi is 100% inspiried by Ninja's scroll or Ninja Gaiden. Hitokiri is actually accurate style wise. They are simply just executioners. Which does NOT explain why they are inhumanly strong, feel no pain and have jiujutsu kaisen looking ahh curses. Aramusha was inspired by Miyamoto Musashi. The idea was good. The result was HORRIBLE! Kyoshin is PURE anime. You would never, never, NEVER see a semi-nude otokono with a Shikomiutze and fucking YOUKAI MAGIC pull up and parry a poleaxe, a bart axe, a kanabō or other weapons by doing high-frequenzy spins with his sword. Ubisoft, PLEASE make us a fully historical Samurai! I BEG you! Just give me a tall, muscular middle-aged japanese dilf in a full set of steel plate armor and any type of Yari-Spear. That's all me and alot of people have been asking for f*cking years.
