@@geshalixxx3367 Gladiator to me, is a boastful character so I tend to like his flashier executions even if they are longer. Alternatively, he is also in desperate need of fast executions for things like breach, for instance, his fastest unique exec. is 2000 ms. This new execution is a whole lot not of nothing and worse, the animation feels janky at points. The initial stab feels extremely weak, despite coming to a sudden stop after connecting with his hip(?) It feels like the trident barely meets any form of resistance. I do like the slam, although it looks like the trident's collisions could use some work. The biggest problem I have, however, is with the uppercut. It would be fine if it had knocked the warden to the ground, but instead, it ends with him lifting his upper torso in a very stiff manner and then limply falling to the ground after deciding he had completed his role as a weapon rack for Gladiator.

The hero fest exe is just plain boring.. With awful janky animations compared to a lot of others on the roster, It just looks like they had someone go in and spend 2 minutes rushing a design.

I knew from the moment that Lawbringer’s exe came out that Raven was gonna give it a 100% . It’s so good and is easily the best of the three, let alone most of the recent hero fest executions.

Fun fact: If you watch the gladiator execution frame by frame, she hits Larry in the shoulder with the buckler (phasing through the shoulder in the process) meanwhile the trident just decides to phase all around in Larry's body and go deeper (while phasing through Larry's hand in the process)

What I think they were going for with the glad execution is when glad hits warden, who is hunched over, it makes him stand straight up and the trident points straight out with how deep its inside his torso. But the execution wasnt implemented well/correctly so it just snaps up into position without any animation showing its upwards motion

Man, when i saw the name of glad's new exe i imagined something like this: The warden on a last attempt tries to jump on the glad to grab him, but glad moves into a lower stance, leaving his trident pointing up, the warden falls into the trident, and the glad lifts it a bit and stabs the warden into the ground. Quick, efficient, realistic since the glad is on a lower position, allowing him to use more strength with it's legs to lift the warden, then with it's weight stabbing the warden into the ground. And also cool as shit

I can't help but feel like the Shugoki execution is a reference to the game Sekiro. In that game, you can do a move called a 'Mikiri Counter' where you dash forward and step on the enemy's weapon to open them up for a finisher; the warden tries to do this, but Shugoki ain't havin' it and kicks it off. If it is a reference to that then I can appreciate it, but it is still a bit underwhelming

Honestly, I think the Shugo execution would have been infinitely better if it didn't launch. I have actually seen it do so when the opponent it close enough to a wall, and it looks like their neck breaks and they immediately collapse like a sack of rocks

Hands down, my favorite is Lawbringer's execution. With Shugoki, I was thinking. "What is Warden doing?" As for Gladiator's execution, it was meh. Lawbringer's execution was awesome, I so am gonna get it.

What's funny about Raven's suggestion for what Shugo's execution could have been, is that there's already an execution that is exactly that. Dyspepsia has Shugo thrust the tip of his Kanabo violently into the opponent's stomach to make them stumble backward and as the enemy does just that, Shugo swing the kanabo backward and bring it down on the back of the executed. I think the execution would have been much better if Warden was placing his foot down and tried to choke Shugoki or gave a punch, only for Shugoki to kick his ankle, give a big headbutt (kind of referencing his moveset) and then as Warden stumbles from the blow, maybe even falling on his back, Shugo swings right up and smash the torso with the kanabo

I dont think glad is hitting the back of the trident to knock it up, he uppercuts warden which lifts his body back and the trident goes with it, its so weird looking you almost cant tell.

With LB's execution he doesn't use the spike, he uses the smaller blade on the back twice in the beginning which you can see as he flips the poleaxe each time.

Honestly, the Shugoki and Gladiators executions were close but missed the mark. For Shugo, if Larry didn't jump up too high, gets knocked onto their upper shoulders and legs flip over, then Shugo slams down with the kanabo onto the folder Larry, that's an execution right there. You get the humour, the show of disrespect and then one of the nastiest executions. It's a great combo. As for Gladiators, I was thinking a mix. We get a backfist with the buckler to the chest. Glad switches the grip to stab the trident in but Larry runs at them to punch, gets the punch in but Glad lets go of the trident. A few more steps then a jolt as the trident sticks into the floor. Larry hangs there as Glad walks over and pulls the trident free.

4:50 I also gave that one a lethality of 2 for my personal rankings, but it was for a different reason. Looking at the animation, the Warden lands neck-first, which I think (given how his whole body is bent and the force of the landing) could break his neck and kill him. Not guaranteed though, hence the 2.

I think Glad punched with their shield hand leading but their trident hand behind it, to reinforce the punch, they then follow through with the shield after hitting the trident in while leaving their other hand to grab the trident. Or at least that’s what I think they intended

I’m certainly no combat expert. Less so in a medieval setting, however I believe that in the cases of both shugoki and gladiator’s new executions they were just lacking in the brutal and theatrical elements that the respective characters embody. For shugoki’s new execution, I do like the upward movement, as from an animation perspective it keeps interest and adds suspense. But I agree that there was just not enough force. I think goki shoulda done an upward spin swing after the kick off. Or maybe even that exact pattern, but rather than sending his opponent flying from that minimal jab, he used it as a stun to wind up for an attack like his gb heavy throw. A large smack that sends em soaring. Now for gladiator, it was just pathetic. It was so minimal, and so just uninteresting that I find myself yawning every time I see it. For gladiator, I believe what would have been more in character would have been a simple disarm using the trident’s prongs, followed by a purposely missed rear end led throw which will embed the weapon into the floor coz game logic, followed by a brief jab sequence into the exhausted opponent falling backwards and impaling themself on the trident. Now in terms of efficiency or anything else I have no idea how that’d be graded, but I’d love to hear some thoughts since I was literally crying over this pathetic excuse for a gladiator execution.

Personally, i like the idea they tried to go for with Gladiators execution, but sadly, it just flopped in practice whether due to poor quality of animation or just a terrible idea (Shugokis is a prime example of this in my opinion) just upsets me tbh, Ubisoft have shown they can make exceptional executions in the past Lawbringers newest one is proof of that, come on Ubi please don't let the next hero fest execution flop like these last 2
